I have never argued for abortion. What I have been trying to say is that it is the wrong issue. We should be looking at how to prevent pregnancies by education and supportive care for pregnant women instead of marginalizing them as murderers when they see no way out but abortion.

It's easy for all the pro-lifers to get all aboard the anti-abortion train. IT'S the WRONG TRAIN. The focus should be on the pregnancy crisis. How is screaming, MURDER going to help woman caught in a pregnancy they did not plan for, cannot support a child, have concerns about being ostracized, etc?

I'm sure pretty much every pregnant woman knows how she could have not gotten pregnant...

Not true. Most pre-teen girls are clueless or think it won't happen to them. They are told myths and believe them. Usually, women who get pg are not thinking baby - they are thinking sex - just like the guys - oh surprise :idea:

I get what your saying but you need to promote the culture of life to stop the murder of the unborn. in fact many of the well known European socialist countries have abortion rates higher or similar to the USA despite the immense child care benefits that women over there receive.

Because if everyone knows they don't have abortion as a back-up plan, then they'll be more discerning about their sexual activity.

Wait... did you just say the women who get abortions "cannot support" a child?

Well what about rich women (aka, women who can support a child)? Should they be allowed to get abortions, too?

I don't agree with that. Most girls and women who get pg are not thinking about babies, unless they are trying to get pg. I am not denying that abortion is seen by SOME as a convenience. But I believe that is a small minority who do so. Most women get an abortion because they don't know what else to do and see it as a problem to be solved for a variety of reasons.
