I've seen Trump claiming to do great. I've also seen a number of mayor's explain the difficulties they have faced getting help. Most haven't been outright critical of Trump, because they need his help, but the process is mind-bogglingly stupid.
Well, Trump needs dems help to fill his cabinet still, they've been dragging their feet longer than any time in history, so things aren't getting done. Who, sanctuary city mayors?

I think it reveals priorities. HHS secretary Price, you know, the man who is supposed to be looking after the health of the whole country including Puerto Rico, seems to have a particular affinity for them. Makes you wonder how such an important individual allowed people to die in hospitals waiting for fuel under his watch. Was there no charter flight available that day?

Price was just fired, another bad seed, probably a liberal. When Trump learned of Price's escapades he booted him. Great President

Yeah, right. Prior to being nominated as HHS secretary, he represented Georgia's 6th Congressional district, one of the reddest in the country. Newt Gingrich's old district. Remember this? Also, while there, he was under investigation for ethics violations related to his official duties as a member of Congress.

Goes to show you the you've adopted though. "Oh, he turned out to be a crook? Must be one of your guys."

Trump does not need the Democrats' help to fill cabinet positions, and given some of the people he has nominated, you can see why the Democrats slowed some of them down as much as they could.

Ron Paul Liberty Report

Almost a year after the election, the witch-hunt continues in an attempt to find something to implicate Russian meddling.

This despite the fact that Trump's policies are nearly identical to what would have been expected of Hillary, had she won.

The U.S. has covertly and overtly staged coups and regime changes for many decades. The latest blatant interference and subsequent coup being in Ukraine.

Shouldn't that be a topic of conversation?

There were those emails Junior posted to Twitter. So, there's that. Meanwhile, Mueller is on the job with the power of subpoena.

This despite the fact that Trump's policies are nearly identical to what would have been expected of Hillary, had she won.

Even if true, that doesn't address the crucial allegations.

In general, perhaps. Here? No.

Well, no, I posted that to show you how the HHS secretary treats travel.

No kiddin'?

Have you really not heard about the fuel shortages at hospitals? A couple of people have died because the generators supporting their lives ran out of fuel.

Guess they shoulda thought of that before the hurricanes hit.

This from your link...

“You know, the gas and fuel issue is not a matter of how much do we have — it’s a matter of how we can distribute it,” he said.

That's why we have federal disaster agencies. Natural disasters tend to destroy infrastructure. It's basically the entire reason they exist, so that there's a mobile capacity ready to rush in and fill the gap.

Unless the particular part of America being impacted is heavily Spanish-speaking and, perhaps more importantly, without a vote in Congress.

Funny thing that the highly educated Puerto Rican medical staff were to stupid to have a significant supply of fuel reserved ain't it?

I mean specially with at least a week or twos notice a catastrophe was coming?

Hey, they chose to keep a semblance of their own government back in 1917.

Not only that, they don't pay the U.S. any income tax so why get a vote?

Wow. Just... wow. That level of victim blaming is pretty astonishing.

For one thing, most hospitals have the capacity to store a few days worth of diesel fuel, which in general is sufficient for help to arrive. So you aren't talked about just ordering some extra fuel. You're talking about building up infrastructure with the assumption that no help would be coming to them. That's not a project of a couple of weeks, even if it were a reasonable suggestion, which it's not.

They didn't choose self-government, or any other form of government. Puerto Rico is a colony. The current arrangement is by act of Congress. And I only mention the voting because that may explain why Trump, who is by law responsible for their wellbeing, doesn't care what happens to them like he did in Texas and Florida.

No they are not a colony.

The U.S. took them from Spain in a war.
