For those confused, the topic was "who was Jesus"
He was an apocalyptic "prophet" who many came to believe, after he died, was a deity. No evidence yet of his coming back from being dead . . . except unconfirmed rumors.

not what do you think about other peoples answers. :)
What? You're not here to discuss? Or are you here to throw random darts at everyone?

did anyone read the OP?
See above.

does anyone here know the truth needs no defense? it will set you free tho, John 8:32.
. . . or so says an anonymous writer from long ago . . . :sigh:.

you won't know unless you try it, John 8:31-32, Matthew 7:24.

otherwise you are just speculating,

if they are true they will bring Spirit and life, John 6:63, if not you loose nothing but time that was being wasted anyway.

keep shinin

What is an IMAGE?

He is God's first creation. Col. 1. First born of ALL creatures.

You are reading into the text in Colossians. It says He is the firstborn over all creation (a place of position). Where does it say He is created? It says He created all things. The Creator can not be part of the creation.

Egoists like to pretend they are more than they are . . .

otherwise you are just speculating,
. . . no less so than the "believers" out there who spend most of their time :drum:.

. . . yeah . . . kind of like Schindler's List.

Well, it is an OPEN forum.

Obviously, you only want to see post that agree with your particular theology.

Dissension is allowed . . . like it or not.
You posted the yawn emoticon indicating that you are bored with the discussion. So I said, "No one is twisting your arm to participate."

Ah, yes . . . a christian demonstrating his most basic talent . . . the ability to know what others are thinking.

Perhaps, I'm bored with seeing the same tired arguments and wish you all would come up with something original.

Quotes from your book of myth are white noise in ANY discussion with the unbelieving.

We don't really know. We have some stories about a specific person, but the stories are really intended more to teach us about a theological ideal rather than to define a person for us.

Something like this. I would imagine there was a man who existed at the time who was inspiration for later Christians. But was he the Jesus people love and worship today? No. That guy is a myth.

If he does not change modes, why do you believe he could or would have sinned?

SD: “ Could he [Jesus] have sinned?
Godrulz: “I believe He could have, but did not…” link

Our God is holy (Ps 99:9, Is 5:16). He does not change (Mal 3:6).

What meaning do you pour into "God-Man"? :freak: Explain God's nature (Jn 1:1, Heb 4:15). :smokie:

We are sinners by birth and by practice (Ps 51:5). Jesus was not/is not. Christ died for the ungodly (Ro 5:6).

The doctrine of God/Christology, we agree on. The debate about hamartiology/impeccability of Christ, we disagree about. The former is salvific, the latter is not.

. . . most of you have elevate a man to the level of deity . . . that's . . . :kookoo:

Yes, Jesus claimed to be God. He is either a liar, lunatic if He is not. Those who think He is a legend/myth are the crazy ones.

The Deity of Christ and His resurrection is what makes Christianity true and different from every other worldview.

Like atheists and Pharisees you reject this truth, but it does not make it untrue.

You will bow your knee before King Jesus someday, either as his love servant or as a mocker who will depart forever from His presence. Ball is in your court. He did everything He could to save us, but we must receive or reject it (Jn. 3:16; Jn. 3:36). If you make your bed and lie in it, don't blame God in the end.
