toldailytopic: Who was Jesus?

Christ's Word

Jesus is the final solution to sin and death on earth.

God raised him from the dead as the first fruits from the grave, and the first to defeat death through GOD's plan.

Jesus is a Priestly King in the order of Melchizedek.

Jesus is the first Witness to God, the beginning of God's creation.

Jesus was created to be King and Lord of GOD's creation.

Jesus is the mediator between GOD and men.

Jesus is the son of GOD, not GOD THE SON.

Jesus authority was granted to him by the original source of all power and authority, GOD.

We belong to Jesus because he purchased us with his sacrifice. Jesus belongs to God.

These statements are scriptural.

. . . most of you have elevate a man to the level of deity . . . that's . . .
Jesus said that we should honor the Son EVEN AS we honor the Father.

The whole redeemed creation worships the Lamb and the Father together, Revelation 5:13.

Since you do not then you are not a member of the redeemed creation.

. . . most of you have elevate a man to the level of deity . . . that's . . . :kookoo:
If Christ is not risen, then you are right. Jn 1:1

For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins [1 Cor. 15:16–17].

"If Christ is not raised, then, my friend, you are a lost, hell–doomed sinner, and that is all you can ever be. If Christ be not raised, every one of us is still in our sins."

Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished [1 Cor. 15:18].

"There have been millions upon millions of believers who have died trusting Christ as their Savior. If Christ is not risen, then every one of them has perished."

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable [1 Cor. 15:19].

"May I say to you that I think Christianity is a here–and–now religion. Paul makes that clear in the sixth chapter of Romans. But Christianity is also a hereafter religion. If Christ be not raised, we have been deluded and we are about the most miserable people in this world today. But we’re not! We’re rejoicing!

That is the end of Paul’s “ifs.” Will you face up to the possibilities which he presents? Go through the “ifs” logically and you will see that the human family is lost and hopeless if Christ had not been raised from the dead." McGee, J. V. (1991). Vol. 44: Thru the Bible commentary: The Epistles (1 Corinthians) (electronic ed.) (180–181). Nashville: Thomas Nelson.

. . . so then you have Jesus elevating himself to the level of deity . . . even more :kookoo: that you accept such nonsense.

So?

Since you do not then you are not a member of the redeemed creation.
No, it means I'm not crazy.

. . . so then you have Jesus elevating himself to the level of deity . . . even more :kookoo:
Jesus said that the Father elevated Him to equal honor. By your standard the Father is :kookoo:

And you have "every creature in heaven and in earth and under the earth" worshiping Him with the Father. You suggest that every creature is :kookoo:

You are the only sane person in the universe because you were fortunate enough both to not know God as Father and to not be included in the denomination "every creature."

"toldailytopic: Who was Jesus?"

He was The Elijah, returned according to the Jewish Encyclopedia which says the ancient Tradition of the Seven Miracles would be the way they should recognize him when he returned as promised in Mal 4:5:

But Jesus did all the same things that Elijah had done, all over again, just 800 years later in 32AD:

Both Elijah and Jesus raised the dead.
Both Elijah and Jesus were immortal.
Both Elijah and Jesus disappeared from the foot of a mountain.
Both Elijah and Jesus ascended into Heaven before witnesses.
Both Elijah and Jesus troubled Israel.
Both Elijah and Jesus were hunted down by the Jewish authorities.
Both Elijah and Jesus hid in a cave/tomb.
Both Elijah and Jesus pondered in the wilderness 40 days.
Both Elijah and Jesus walked on the water.
Both wrote letters to people on Earth after they had ascended.
Both appointed a successor, Elisha by Elijah, and Peter, by Christ.
Both were hunted by the Jewish authorities.
Both gave a successor the power to raise the dead.
Both gave a successor a symbolic authority, the cloak to one, the keys to the other.
Both asked that the this "cup" be taken from them.
Both had miraculous births
Both multiplied the meal for many people they feed in the crowd.
Both destroyed the pagan worshippers and priests, one Baal, the other, the Pantheon of Rome.
Both were promised faithfulness three times, Elisha in the former and Peter, in the latter.

. . . Jesus said the "father" said? That sounds an awful lot like hearsay. In other words . . . Jesus elevated himself to deity.

They do? Who says?

Well, I'm sane because I don't adhere to your particular version of deity. Sorry if that hurts your feelings.

All of this is true, I suppose, if you are willing to take at face value a compilation of stories of dubious origin and questionable intent.
