Galatians 4:7 KJV
(7) Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Romans 6:16
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Apparently, you have zero understanding of predestination and providence if you think that suffices as an argument.

Typical "I'm against Calvinism just because". There's too many of you on a theology site

I found a quote from Martin Luther on Predestinarians of his day:

But here we must shut the mouths of those sacriligeous and arrogant spirits who, mere beginners that they are, bring their reason to bear on this matter and commence, from their exalted position, to probe the abyss of divine providence and uselessly trouble themselves about whether they are predestined or not. These people must surely plunge to their ruin, since they will either despair or abandon themselves to a life of chance. - comm. on Romans

Mere beginners who trust in chance, lol

This is where you show that you truly are a moron, because Martin Luther believed in predestination. He was talking about all those like you, who sit here day in and day out concerned about it.

:rotfl:

You should be careful about your sources, because there are a lot of idiots who think they know what they are talking about

Here's a breakdown: There are three channels of predestination- Augustine affirmed 2, Aquinas affirmed only 1, Wycliffe affirmed 2, Luther affirmed 1, and Calvin affirmed 2. (Luther is really sort of 1.5)
And of course, all 3 is 'double predestination'- kind of misleading, but that's how it works.

You don't stand anywhere within that, period. You all are trying to sit on the fence between election and free grace.

Neither God nor Jesus expects blind obedience.
This is proven by the accounts of Moses and Peter arguing with God and Jesus, respectively, about commands that they were given.

No one has to have an understanding as to why God wants you to do something. Is that what you are calling blind obedience?

If you do not have understanding, you will have it after you obey that is what God's Word says.

Lean not on your own understanding.

Do you recognize that scripture?

Galatians 3:26 KJV
(26) For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

But watch this...you cannot be that child of God and friend until AFTER YOU OBEY and make yourself a servant first!

Oh please ask me for the scriptures to prove it.

He's correct, as far as he went. What he evidently didn't foresee was the invention of Lordship Salvation, created specifically to help Calvinists convince themselves they're not Reprobates by measuring their every thought, word and deed against some standard or other...justification by faith, sanctification and evidence of justification by works.

The sad part is that, when preached as the Gospel, it still causes young believers to destroy themselves over something that doesn't even exist.

Hi All

Need some help in soteriology.

It has been a long hard battle and most of the antagonists have been dealt with. Skala and his pal Griff - well and truly nailed. cygnusx1 outgunned with a huge amount of effort and scripture. behe'sboy( now post as 'and one') also silenced. Hammster, the dishonest mod has also gone - got wiped out by CF staff. Only one left - nobdysfool who also uses the avatar 'forhisgloy61' and 'Albion'. (tulip bee pops up a lot but posts such nutty stuff no one takes the dude seriously.) Latest calvie to get hit with a shed load of Bible teaching was Marvin.

Many good Christians who defend the word of God are still getting nailed and banned due to 'fool. Please may I asks that ex CFers get back in the fight on CF and stand fast for true Christianity.

CF Soteriology is an open forum and leads many people astray. Please get back there and defend the true word of the Bible from ego driven head cases such as mr noddyfool.

Yours in Christ

I have been banned from there. Once you are banned for life you cannot return.

Please may I implore you to get back where it is really at. Stand up for the word you love. What is the worst that can happen to you ? Wrsist strain from the keyboard ?

What is the worst that can happen to a newbie in Christ ? led astray. Surely your possible wrist cramp is worth risking for that?

wow to think that the devil might be winning is to have no faith that the battle is won. Take a few to rest in the victory guy's you can't add to it, is it not perfect in Christ? who has over come the world the flesh and the devil.

Once you realise the battle is won there is no need to troll people into the kingdom and if you don't know already, it won't work and if you do then why do you do it?

Would be good but CF is the biggest web site, leading many astray. If any of Jesus's sheep went astray then Jesus went out and rescued it.

Paul has left places who maligned the way and refused to listen.

Acts 19:9 But some of them became obstinate; they refused to believe and publicly maligned the Way. So Paul left them. He took the disciples with him and had discussions daily in the lecture hall of Tyrannus.

Arminians believe in predestination too you dolt!!! So do Lutherans and many other Christians. Only Calvinists speak on it with every breath and word and pervert it into a cosmic lottery of chance Salvation.
