The long nightmare has just begun: Inauguration of a fraud.

You went and got yourself banned, huh?

Yep. I got banned for speaking truth to lies.

That's the way it goes around here, and it's the price I pay for bring you lots of liberal love. :)

I have to say though, that red really clashed with the pink banner on my avatar. : shudder :

(Not that the baby blue/baby pink is much better...)

He couldn't figure out what was idiotic about my post. Why the personal attack? I've never spoken to him before under that name. Unless it's a sock like I said.

Well, I didn't know who you were when you first attacked me as doloresistere, either.

I'm just saying that's not Crucible.

Why is he personally attacking me? You have no idea who he really is?

CS. People attack here all the time. I have to deal with it on a regular basis and I hand it back when I'm pushed enough. I can't tell you who it might be, I just know Crucible's style and I'm not seeing it there.

I know people attack all the time but it's usually out in the open. For some reason this guy doesn't want to know he has a problem with me. It's not the attack itself , that's normal. It's just has my curiosity peaked about what could possibly motivate someone to hide their identity. Ok. I just figured it out. He is using a sock because he doesn't want to stain his reputation or he has been banned. He now feels free to release his animus towards me without spoiling his reputation.

It's quite the mystery, I guess.

The LA Times is running a multi-part indictment of Trump entitled Our Dishonest President.

In a matter of weeks, President Trump has taken dozens of real-life steps that, if they are not reversed, will rip families apart, foul rivers and pollute the air, intensify the calamitous effects of climate change and profoundly weaken the system of American public education for all. His attempt to de-insure millions of people who had finally received healthcare coverage and, along the way, enact a massive transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich has been put on hold for the moment. But he is proceeding with his efforts to defang the government’s regulatory agencies and bloat the Pentagon’s budget even as he supposedly retreats from the global stage.

And then they get to the negative stuff. :plain:

Among the enumerated concerns in Part I:

1. Trumps lack of respect for any voice other than his own, which he's used to question the integrity of sitting federal judges, the heads of intelligence agencies, even questioning the credibility of the system that elected him.

2. His lack of regard for the truth while decrying the often imagined falsity he sees in opposing voices and views.

3. His buy-in to the conspiracy theories and leanings of the alt-right.

Excerpt from Part II: Why Trump Lies

. . . . There have always been those who accept the intellectually bankrupt notion that people are entitled to invent their own facts — consider the “9/11 was an inside job” trope — but Trump’s ascent marks the first time that the culture of alternative reality has made its home at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

If Americans are unsure which Trump they have — the Machiavellian negotiator who lies to manipulate simpler minds, or one of those simpler minds himself — does it really matter? In either case he puts the nation in danger by undermining the role of truth in public discourse and policymaking, as well as the notion of truth being verifiable and mutually intelligible.

In the months ahead, Trump will bring his embrace of alternative facts on the nation’s behalf into talks with China, North Korea or any number of powers with interests counter to ours and that constitute an existential threat. At home, Trump now becomes the embodiment of the populist notion (with roots planted at least as deeply in the Left as the Right) that verifiable truth is merely a concept invented by fusty intellectuals, and that popular leaders can provide some equally valid substitute. We’ve seen people like that before, and we have a name for them: demagogues.

Our civilization is defined in part by the disciplines — science, law, journalism — that have developed systematic methods to arrive at the truth. Citizenship brings with it the obligation to engage in a similar process. Good citizens test assumptions, question leaders, argue details, research claims.

Investigate. Read. Write. Listen. Speak. Think. Be wary of those who disparage the investigators, the readers, the writers, the listeners, the speakers and the thinkers. Be suspicious of those who confuse reality with reality TV, and those who repeat falsehoods while insisting, against all evidence, that they are true. To defend freedom, demand fact.

The Libs have, Nancy Pelosi, Max Waters, Chuck Schumer, Jimmy "The Weasel" Comey, and a host of others on their side. We "The People" have God and His choice "Donald Trump" on our side. Who is on YOUR side my fellow posters?
A womanizing, billionaire casino owner who doesn't subscribe to repentance and seeking forgiveness from sin seems like a strange choice by conservatives to assert as "God's choice!"

Praise God for Donald Trump. The "Evil Woman," Hillary didn't have a chance. Liberals just cannot accept the will of God and His choice for OUR President. Cry/whine all you want, you've got God's choice for another four years and perhaps another four after that. I love it when evil is held back.

Ephesians 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Sorry, I don't take advice from Liberals such as yourself. You know, fake news and all that.

"Grosnick Marowbe" has characterized a video of Donald Trump explaining as to why he doesn't seek forgiveness from sin as "fake news!"

Perhaps he can enlighten us as to where he obtains his "alternate facts" - given that first person interviews have been summarily dismissed!
