Not only was killing Jesus a sin, sin was already forgiven by faith. Jesus didn't teach "Christ and him crucified." He taught the gospel of the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus teaching about being rejected and killed:

‘They will respect my son.’ But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. “Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?” They said to Him, “He will destroy those wicked men miserably and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons.” Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures

Killing Jesus was wicked, but people of the Pagan atonement doctrine need Jesus killed.

You're just about as ignorant as they come!

You haven't the intellectual fortitude (so far) to take the simple challenge so remain ignorant .....or prove what is fiction or comic-book material in the first 5 chapters. You have nothing to contribute to the discussion until you accept that most elementary requirement besides an education of the basics.

By the way, my fee for evaluating comic books like the ub is $100 per hour - payable in advance - 10 hour minimum.

See here (again) - you have yet to take the simple challenge of reading the first 5 papers to educate yourself on what it teaches (its essential theology) for starters, showing what is fictional therein. List the specifics for discussion.

1. The Universal Father

2. The Nature of God

3. The Attributes of God

4. God's Relation to the Universe

5. God's Relation to the Individual

~*~*~

It's not that long a read, yet fundamental.

I know Jesus - you don't. You won't get to know Him through comic books like the ub. You want something that paints God the way you want Him to be instead of what He actually is. You might as well go ahead and say that you like the god (little "g") that the urantia paints better than the God (Big "G") that the Holy Bible paints. Remember - the ub is fiction and false while the Holy Bible is non-fiction and TRUE.

Jesus came for all people, he revealed a God of great love and goodness. People might be afraid of a mean God, but they will only truly love a good God. I love Jesus and his Father also. I trust Jesus and not the religious fools who rejected him. I choose Jesus not Barabbas. I believe the original gospel of Jesus, the religion taught by Jesus, before the tragic rejection and unjust trial and murder of my savior.

There is no depth to your criticism of the UB because you don't even know what it says.

In that case, why don't you put down the "Uraunchy Book" and
start reading the Bible? Sorry to see you back, by the way!

Hi Grosnick,

I did read the bible, they borrowed many beautiful things to put in it. I have never believed that God drowned the whole earth except an ancestor of the people who wrote that story. I never have believed that Jesus would drown babies and grandmother and pregnant women or little children.

I don't believe the people who rejected and killed Jesus. Jesus said their father was the devil.

I notice that you still have no real rebuttal, just more hatred when the truth is spoken.

It's hard to understand how anyone could be so confused by Jesus' parable of the absent land owner as to conclude that it was right to kill the landowners Son, but it is what it is.

I do believe in the great flood but one book I read tells that other far away areas also built ships during that time. I think south America or Peru have that story in thier ancient histories as well.
Maybe not just one ship but many other made sense.

Are you saying that UB tells a different story?

Yes, I will let the UB explain how and why such a story ever came to be. Bear in mind that NO other culture on earth traces their blood lines back to the Jews supposed ancestor Noah.

The Floods in Mesopotamia

"The river dwellers were accustomed to rivers overflowing their banks at certain seasons; these periodic floods were annual events in their lives. But new perils threatened the valley of Mesopotamia as a result of progressive geologic changes to the north.

For thousands of years after the submergence of the first Eden the mountains about the eastern coast of the Mediterranean and those to the northwest and northeast of Mesopotamia continued to rise. This elevation of the highlands was greatly accelerated about 5000 B.C., and this, together with greatly increased snowfall on the northern mountains, caused unprecedented floods each spring throughout the Euphrates valley. These spring floods grew increasingly worse so that eventually the inhabitants of the river regions were driven to the eastern highlands. For almost a thousand years scores of cities were practically deserted because of these extensive deluges.

Almost five thousand years later, as the Hebrew priests in Babylonian captivity sought to trace the Jewish people back to Adam, they found great difficulty in piecing the story together; and it occurred to one of them to abandon the effort, to let the whole world drown in its wickedness at the time of Noah’s flood, and thus to be in a better position to trace Abraham right back to one of the three surviving sons of Noah.

The traditions of a time when water covered the whole of the earth’s surface are universal. Many races harbor the story of a world-wide flood some time during past ages. The Biblical story of Noah, the ark, and the flood is an invention of the Hebrew priesthood during the Babylonian captivity. There has never been a universal flood since life was established on Urantia. The only time the surface of the earth was completely covered by water was during those Archeozoic ages before the land had begun to appear.

But Noah really lived; he was a wine maker of Aram, a river settlement near Erech. He kept a written record of the days of the river’s rise from year to year. He brought much ridicule upon himself by going up and down the river valley advocating that all houses be built of wood, boat fashion, and that the family animals be put on board each night as the flood season approached. He would go to the neighboring river settlements every year and warn them that in so many days the floods would come. Finally a year came in which the annual floods were greatly augmented by unusually heavy rainfall so that the sudden rise of the waters wiped out the entire village; only Noah and his immediate family were saved in their houseboat.

These floods completed the disruption of Andite civilization. With the ending of this period of deluge, the second garden was no more. Only in the south and among the Sumerians did any trace of the former glory remain.

The remnants of this, one of the oldest civilizations, are to be found in these regions of Mesopotamia and to the northeast and northwest. But still older vestiges of the days of Dalamatia exist under the waters of the Persian Gulf, and the first Eden lies submerged under the eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea." UB 1955

You ought to forsake your "UB Fairy stories" and stick with
the truth of God's written Word; The Bible?

Does this come from the Bible or the "uranunchy book?" Don't
bother answering you and I know where you get your phony
information right? Again, sorry you're back again.

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

Before Moses there was no bible, for thousands of years.

When the Son of God came in the flesh, the people who wrote the OT books didn't like Jesus, they accused him of being from Satan, they said that's why demons listened to him. Mat 12:23-25 Today those same people in Israel are using the same OT books to reject Jesus.

Grosnick, you remind me a lot of those people who hated Jesus and his Father also.

The holy men of old who wrote what The Spirit of God inspired them to write were all put to death for their obedience to The Lord. The cross was being symbolized ever since Eden.

My faith is that God is good and perfect, I trust him. I trust his Son and the "good news" that he brought to a dark, blood thirsty world of backward thinking people.

John 1:10-12

He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.

He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God--

I received Jesus into my life, I recognize him. Killing Jesus was a sin. I believe in his gospel, his life, not in the rejection.
