look up some of the stuff bill veeck and early baseball team owners did. Purple People Eaters, Orange Crush, Steel Curtain, Too Tall, The Deacon, The Snake, Lambert, Upshaw, Swann, Stalworth, Dorsett, Walter, Hendricks, Staubach, Bradshaw, - sorry, mid to late 70's flashback. early 80's, when a catch was a catch, and nobody was coddled. jk - anything that pumps people up is good for bidness - it's tradition now, or league rules, but why wait so darn long between playoffs and super bowl ? JK ! - execution on the field usually determines the outcome. realistically, any team should assume that everybody knows what they do. everyone has a camera, a computer and a big mouth. can anything really be a "secret" - certain plays and plans, yes. but anything a team does on a practice field can possibly be filmed/recorded and potentially sold, i suppose. so maybe a guy makes 10 bucks an hour cleaning the facility that day, pulls out his phone and lets the right person know about it. or just a fan. too many possible leaks that are uncontrollable. unprovable. every team knows this, every coach, from pee wee leagues to the big time. it's just a fact of competition, even more so when trillions of dowzers are involved. i guess it all comes out on the field - i hope it's a good game either way. sometimes it's ok to not really care who wins. not. - :jazz:
