The OT makes it clear the Israel's Messiah would come and make a New Covenant.
In Ephesians, Paul tells us that it was a mystery (meaning hidden since the foundation of the world) that the Gentiles would be fellowheirs with Israel in this promise.
The promise wasn't a mystery, the mystery was that the Gentiles would become fellowheirs.
(Eph 3:6) This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.
It's really that simple.
