So if a soldier is mentally ill, the military should not pay for treatment? How Christian of you. How supportive of the military.
While we are at it, lets stop paying for Viagara for soldiers. Or contraceptives, Yep those soldiers should just show more self control.
The military already does not accept individuals with mental illness. Admitted trannies are ill. Then you go on to make ridiculous comparisons.

Transgender people are not necessarily mentally ill, same as right wing Repubs are not necessarily mentally ill.

Interesting that the military branches seem to be saying that Trumpy's tweets are insufficient for them to take any action. Let's see how that angers Mr. Bleach Head. Maybe he will use this as a reason to fire his buddy Mad Dog.
How autocratic do we think Trump wants to get?

Isn't it amazing how quickly this "she" found her masculine side? There is not one ounce of female in a male. We are not talking about hermaphrodites (eunuch) born with physical defects.

Countries that allow transgender members in the military
Jul 26, 2017

Should Donald Trump follow through on his pledge to bar transgender people from working in the U.S. military "in any capacity," 18 countries will still allow openly transgender individuals to be members of their armed forces.

Those countries are: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Canada
Canada ended its ban on LGBT personnel in the military in 1992 ..... And since Bill C-16, which makes it a crime to discriminate on the basis of gender identity and expression, was passed in the Senate in June, the military says it is updating its policies toward transgender individuals to ensure soldiers are accepted within its ranks.

Australia
The Australian Defence Force removed its ban on gay and lesbian service members in 1992, but only lifted its policy barring transgender individuals in 2010.

Israel
Since 1993, Israel has allowed openly LGBT people to serve in the Israel Defence Forces. Israeli transgender soldiers.

The Netherlands
The Dutch military became the first to allow LGBT individuals to serve in 1974 and it was also the first to set up an LGBT military support organization.

United Kingdom
Since 2000, openly LGBT personnel have been allowed to serve in the United Kingdom military.

New Zealand
New Zealand's military was ranked the most inclusive in the world according to a 2014 report on LGBT military personnel from The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies. In 2012, the New Zealand Defence Force created OverWatch, a program designed to provide support to LGBT personnel.

Sweden
The Swedish Armed Forces are regarded as some of the most progressive in terms LGBT inclusion. Since Swedish parliamentarians passed the Discrimination Act in 2008, Swedish Armed Forces personnel have been legally protected against discrimination on the basis of gender identity and expression.

Germany
Germany only legalized same-sex marriage at the end of June, but it has allowed LGBT people to serve in its military for years. In 1990, it first allowed gay people to serve in the German armed forces, known as the Bundeswehr, and removed a ban on LGBT service members becoming officers in 2000.

Most of America's major allies around the world have allowed "transgenders" for years.

Given that the US Supreme Court has already ruled in favour of "gay marriage," does anyone really believe that it won't be just a matter of time before Trump's decision will be reversed?

Trump probably already has legal opinions that banning "transsexuals" in the military will ultimately be overturned by the Supreme Court - but his ego is so desperate for a "WIN," he is willing to target any minority group!

That is what dictators do, target minorities, get the majority feeling oppressed. Hitler did it to the Jews. Trump can't do that because Javanka.

I'm not sure where you get your information from, but I'll address this part of your post:

I highlighted the word "been" for a reason. Granted, I can't think of many women that would want to share their wardrobe with their husband, hence a good reason to divorce if he doesn't seek therapy.

That being said: I find it hard to believe that a man who is so psychologically imbalanced that he enjoys dressing in women's clothing or takes it a step further and has his genitals mutilated would have a normal sexual appetite.

Where do you get your information from?
from those who have worked in the area and journal studies show that most of the males who identify as 'transgender' have been married and some successful, as well in their careers. For reasons I am unsure, there is a much higher rate in tech and engineering fields, which is low among gay men, t who like more social and artsy fields, as one might expect. What this means is many of those who identity as 'transgender' are, or were, nerds or geeks.

From years of working in psychological and forensic field.

Trump's tweet-command was a self-serving bid to deflect attention from his ongoing Circus of Incompetence, and to receive his daily dose of gratification from his base.

From Politico:

I’m a Trans Veteran Who Served Six Tours in the Mideast. What Does Trump Have Against Me?

I was in Okinawa in 2001, about a year into my service in the U.S. Marine Corps, when I learned what “transgender” meant. At the time, I hadn’t known that such a thing existed, let alone that there was a term for it. I knew only that I was living in a perpetual state of shame and guilt. And in Japan, blessed with a high-speed internet connection, I decided to Google what was going on inside my head.

For the first time, I knew that there were others who felt the same way I did: My gender was female, but at birth, my sex was male. I also knew, however, that the U.S. government had an agreement with that male, who had enlisted to serve his country. I would have been kicked out of the military had I decided to come out or transition. So, I was willing to shut out my gender identity for the sake of normalcy, and in order to keep the job I loved.

I went on to complete six combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan—first while on active duty in the Marine Corps from 2000–05 and then as a military contractor from 2005-12. I spent four tours in and around Fallujah, and two tours stationed in Helmand Province, a Taliban stronghold—all as part of the signals intelligence community, where I intercepted the messages, phone calls and emails sent and received by enemy forces.

I’m proud of the work I did for the country I love. But my life was also incomplete. I didn’t come out as trans until 2012, after leaving my job as a defense contractor and moving back home to Michigan.

Last year, when the Defense Department announced that transgender troops could stay in uniform and serve openly, I knew from lived experience what a difference it would make in the lives of thousands of brave men and women. The country they were sacrificing so much for was taking a major step toward accepting them for who they are.

At least that’s what I thought until Wednesday morning, when, standing in my bedroom, putting on makeup, I first learned about the president’s tweets.
Trump’s threat to reverse current policy is more than a threat to current or future transgender troops; it’s an insult to our military as a whole. The president dodged the draft during the Vietnam War, and yet he would deny confidence and self-respect to those who willingly risk their lives to keep his country safe. It takes bravery to enlist and serve in the armed forces; imagine the immense courage it takes to come out and transition while also serving in the military. Those who do so are some of the most dedicated service members America has. And the president has said that doesn’t want their help in protecting our nation. That’s a slap in the face. No one should be made to feel inferior for being who they are while serving and sacrificing in ways that most Americans will never understand or fully appreciate.

The president says he has rationales for the policy change—that we need to focus on victory, and that the costs to pay for soldiers’ transitions are too great—but these reasons fall apart with even the most basic amount of prodding.

This isn’t about unit cohesion. Having served in the military, I can tell you that cohesion will be badly damaged by pulling out deployed troops who are transgender. In uniform, you come to depend on your unit; they’re like family, and a bond is created that is impossible to understand unless you’ve served. How did my Marine buddies react when they heard the news that I’d transitioned? They threw me a big coming-out party at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. In advance, I warned them that it might be a lot to adjust to—whoever wants to meet me in person as a woman can come; if you don’t, then don’t. Out of the 60-or-so people who were invited, about 45 showed up. I was overwhelmed by the response.

Nor is this about money: Studies have shown that any amount saved in terms of medical costs will be minuscule on the scale of the military budget. Undoubtedly, there are some Trump supporters who don’t want their tax dollars going to pay for certain troops’ health care. But this is America, where we make compromises so that other people can live their lives with dignity. You are tolerant of others; you expect the same tolerance in return.

So this isn’t about morale, or the bottom line; it is about respect, and compassion for those who are willing to put aside everything to enlist on behalf of their country. The truth is that even if Trump’s policy change is implemented, transgender people are going to continue to stay in the military. Trump will simply be condemning those American troops to living lives of secrecy and self-doubt. They’ll continue to be afraid to be themselves.

Is that really what we wish for America’s Finest?

As a Marine, I was fit—probably in the top 20th percentile of the Corps—and I like to think I was mentally stable and sound and relatively mature. But I’m in way better shape than I ever was as a Marine, mentally and physically. All the things you fear about happening when you transition, they’re all outweighed by the happiness and freedom and hope that come along with being the self outside that you’ve always felt inside. I have perspective that I never had before. I’ve lived publicly as a male and as a female, and that has made me a more compassionate person. Once you’ve been on both sides of the fence, you have a better view of the backyard. I don’t want to see transgender members of the military once again deprived of that same chance.

The Marine Corps showed me how to take things in stride. You can be asked to drop everything and deploy in 24 hours. We’re the world’s 9-1-1 responders: we learn to expect setbacks, weather them and bounce back. I’m in my mid-30s now, and in my life, I’ve seen the rights of LGBTQ citizens change drastically, sometimes for the worse, but more often for the better. Which is why I know that even though Trump’s proposed ban on transgender service members might be a step back, we’ll take two steps forward again soon.

Trump transgender decision rattles Pentagon

But on the issue of transgender troops, conservatives who worried that Mattis was steamrolling them won out, with Trump siding with them less than a month after Mattis committed to a six-month review of the issue.

“It’s never a good sign when a major policy pronouncement is made that was clearly not coordinated with senior leadership,” said a source familiar with the matter. “I can tell you, no matter how they’re spinning it, I was there that day, and everybody was caught — all the senior officers who were left there with Gen. Mattis on vacation — they were all caught totally flat footed. They were all scrambling, because they were getting killed by Congress for not giving a heads up.”

Inside Trump’s snap decision to ban transgender troops: a last-ditch attempt to save a House proposal full of his campaign promises that was on the verge of defeat, numerous congressional and White House sources said.
07/26/2017

After a week sparring with his attorney general and steaming over the Russia investigation consuming his agenda, President Donald Trump was closing in on an important win.

House Republicans were planning to pass a spending bill stacked with his campaign promises, including money to build his border wall with Mexico.

But an internal House Republican fight over transgender troops was threatening to blow up the bill. And House GOP insiders feared they might not have the votes to pass the legislation because defense hawks wanted a ban on Pentagon-funded sex reassignment operations — something GOP leaders wouldn’t give them.

They turned to Trump, who didn’t hesitate. In the flash of a tweet, he announced that transgender troops would be banned altogether.

Trump’s sudden decision was, in part, a last-ditch attempt to save a House proposal full of his campaign promises that was on the verge of defeat, numerous congressional and White House sources said.

The president had always planned to scale back policies put in place during the administration of President Barack Obama welcoming such individuals in combat and greenlighting the military to pay for their medical treatment plans. But a behind-the-scenes GOP brawl threatening to tank a Pentagon funding increase and wall construction hastened Trump’s decision.

Numerous House conservatives and defense hawks this week had threatened to derail their own legislation if it did not include a prohibition on Pentagon funding for gender reassignment surgeries, which they deem a waste of taxpayer money. But GOP leaders were caught in a pinch between those demands and those of moderate Republicans who considered the proposal blatantly discriminatory.

“There are several members of the conference who feel this really needs to be addressed,” senior House Appropriations Committee member Robert Aderholt (R-Ala.) said Tuesday. “This isn’t about the transgender issue; it’s about the taxpayer dollars going to pay for the surgery out of the defense budget.”

That’s why House lawmakers took the matter to the Trump administration. And when Defense Secretary James Mattis refused to immediately upend the policy, they went straight to the White House. Trump — never one for political correctness — was all too happy to oblige.

“[P]lease be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military,” Trump tweeted Wednesday morning. “Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail.”

The president’s directive, of course, took the House issue a step beyond paying for gender reassignment surgery and other medical treatment. House Republicans were never debating expelling all transgender troops from the military.

“This is like someone told the White House to light a candle on the table and the WH set the whole table on fire,” a senior House Republican aide said in an email. The source said that although GOP leaders asked the White House for help on the taxpayer matter specifically, they weren’t expecting — and got no heads up on — Trump’s far-reaching directive.

..... The announcement, multiple sources said, did not sit well with Mattis, who appeared to be trying to avoid the matter in recent weeks. An extensive Defense Department review of the policy was already underway, but a decision wasn’t expected for months.

Insiders said Mattis felt there was no need to rush upending the policy, arguing the Pentagon needed time to study the issue. Its decision would affect at least 2,450 transgender active-military personnel, according to a Rand report — though military LGBT activist groups say as many as 15,000 soldiers fall into that category.

..... Mattis only got back to her the day she forced the matter on the House floor in mid-July. And, according to Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-N.J.), who opposed the Hartzler proposal, Mattis asked Hartzler to withdraw her amendment and give him space to maneuver.

..... the decision ultimately came down from Trump and was “White House-driven,” Trump aides said.

The president was also annoyed by the Pentagon delay, one person said. A different official said the White House had gotten positive reaction from conservatives, an important factor amid their displeasure with Trump’s recent bashing of Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

The transgender fight first surfaced in the House a few weeks ago. With the backing of almost the entire GOP Conference, Hartzler offered an amendment to a defense authorization bill that would ban funding for gender reassignment surgeries and treatments for transgender active-duty personnel.

Republican supporters were shocked when a group of 24 mostly moderate Republicans teamed up with 190 Democrats to kill the effort in a 209-214 vote.

I don't know where "patrick jane" claims to get his information (he never provides sources), but the ban of transsexuals in the military by Trump was never based on any moral principles, but a snap decision to pacify conservative House Republicans to support his spending bill.

The real issue was never a ban on transsexuals in the military, but a disatisfication with government funding for gender reassignment surgeries and treatments for transgender active-duty personnel.

General Mattis and the Pentagon opposed this initiative which had already been defeated by a 209-214 vote in the House - 24 Republicans voting with their Democratic counterparts!

Trump's tweet, banning transsexuals in the military, not only reflects yet another example of his misunderstanding of the issues, but ignored a House vote where his own Party formed the majority!
