Bernie also saved a reporter from getting trampled after the debate

Also, Bernie won hands down.
Here's Why

Clinton: She looked very calm, very confident, and presented herself well. She took the early heat from Anderson Cooper, when he pressed her on flip-flopping. Her response to the offer to respond to Lincoln Chafee on her email controversy was a mic-drop level one word response. And her turning of the question about her vote for the war in Iraq was impressively bold, even if you don't buy it. However, her claim that she went to Wall Street in 2007 and "told them to cut it out" was ludicrous, unverifiable, and silly.

Sanders: He had a lot of really good answers, and few really bad ones. His answer on gun control was awful. His explanation of democratic socialism was confused and inadequate. His shooting down of talk about Hillary's email scandal was good. His answer to the terrible BLM question played well, although it was also a bit scripted. But it's hard to ignore the fact, if you realize it, that he set the context for a large part of the debate and how Clinton formed her message. Indeed, you had to look fairly hard to find a distinction between Clinton and Sanders in terms of policy ideas. The difference is going to have to come down to sincerity.

O'Malley: He came of as well-informed, well-spoken, and smart. On a couple of points, he delivered Sanders's policies better than Sanders from a rhetorical perspective.

Chafee: His answer about his Glass-Steagall vote was possibly disqualifying by itself, in part because he thought it was an answer. He didn't express a rationale for his campaign that made any sense, and he should drop out.

Webb: He looked terrified, locking eyes with Anderson Cooper the whole time, uncomfortable, and out of place. His ideas were the most out of line with the Democratic party, and he had some really bad responses. The biggest thing we learned is that he whines, a lot. For his own dignity, he should drop out.

Overall, the debate put the Republican clown car to shame. It was professional, collegial, and respectful. I was quite impressed with the top three, and really, any of the five would be better than anyone in the GOP primary.

O'Mailey spoke well but seemed nervous and off. I have seen him on interviews and he did much better. I assume nerves got the best of him. He probably will shine better the next time.

Webb. "Who am I and what am I doing here?"

Both Sanders and Clinton were relaxed and you can clearly see why the are the front runners.

Anderson Cooper annoyed me especially at the start. It seemed he was trying to excite the candidates by attacking and interrupting. He lightened up as it went on.

Good debate and agree with what Rex wrote above.

The division in America is that the Left wants to hear things that make them feel good and the conservatives want to do things that actually work.

in what way is exposing Clinton's culpability dishonest?

Republicans are acting like they got their hand caught in the cookie jar.

If she is so guilty what is taking so long?

Oh, right they don't want an indictment right away. They want this to drag on and on to bring down her poll numbers. Worth the 4+ million dollars for you too?

Who Actually Won

CNN is deliberately skewing their coverage and reporting to assure everyone that Hillary is in the lead....regardless of the actual polls.

Including theirs.
Which they deleted when they realized it showed Bernie as the favorite.
Along with any comments on their site which did the same.

so, who do think will have a strong showing at tonight's debate ? commentary ? opinions ? issues -

i hope they don't make this Trump centered, the best way to defeat Trump is to stick to the issues and facts and don't get baited into his high school mentality -

in fact, i will bet a million dollars he will not win the nomination no matter what happens tonight or anytime in the future, so why even engage with him. i would discredit Trump at the outset, and stick to my guns while ignoring him the whole debate. :thumb:

yeh, I ignore him when he's on Fox.. I change channels and ask others to do the same.. YOU?

I agree with MUCH of what Trump says.. In fact, I love it when he goes on and on about political correctness and all kinds of stuff.. but he believes in taking property from We the People so as the govenrnemtn... that most corrupt of all entities.. can use it.. for purposes of gorging itself further... & abusing us further.. stripping us of our freedoms.. etc

no thanks...

also is not truly pro life.. which is the most important thing.. but I wouldn't vote for him even aside from that most important of all issues...

T has always been friendly with the liberals... until now, of course.. now that he wants to win the primary

No one who was friendly with the likes of Pelosi and Hellary is trustworthy

so anyway, where was I?

Sanders: He had a lot of really good answers, and few really bad ones. His answer on gun control was awful.

What answer? The part about how certain states simply have different views on gun control (or something to that effect)?

Well, early internet polls and CNN analysis say Bernie Sanders stole the show, but they said that about Trump too. Hilary didn't lose anything or hurt herself. Anderson Cooper did OK for a gay homo.

Bernie Sanders sounds exactly like Larry David !!!

Sure enough, Larry David played Bernie on SNL !!! funny
