You portraying yourself as judge of TOL.

You say that as though you believe judging people is wrong. How long has it been between your last few posts and threads that you have judged someone else?

I don't claim to be sinless, true and saved Christians. You dismiss this simple fact, just because you don't like me.

Your judgment is based on your personal grudges.

Making that *claim* dismisses the fact that your posts indicate otherwise. Your lectures are self serving towards those you like (and turn a blind eye to) and dismissive of your own "sins".

Also, you lie. I don't have a "grudge" against you. My grudges are reserved far bigger fish than you. I simply find you hypocritical and annoying ... like a cross between Steve "Did I do that?" Urkel and Gladys Kravitz.

Good day.

Exactly.

[Meshak, teaching children] ...[T]hat living separately away from your children's father with no intention to reconcile is not spiteful?

[:chz4brnz: Hey Meshak, :freak: didn't you tell TOL members that you abandoned your military husband and live off of his benefits? ] ...You are self-righteous who slander Jesus' servants...

You don't serve Jesus...
 You've said that witchy (Eph 4:14).

Your heart is unregenerate (Prov. 6:14–16, 18, 19). Your malice is Satanic (1 John 3:12).

As a reminder meshak is number 17 on Satan, Inc. (TOL Heretics list) in "The 'Jesus is not God' people (Non-trinitarians) category. :burnlib:

You are badly mistaken not knowing the scriptures.

Jeremiah 31:33 "This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time," declares the LORD. "I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

Hebrews 8:10
This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

Mark 14:24 "This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many," he said to them.

1 Timothy 4:4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,

Romans 14:6
Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God;

1 Corinthians 10:30
If I take part in the meal with thankfulness, why am I denounced because of something I thank God for?

You should be more wise and refrain from passing judgment too quickly. lol
Again, let me repeat:

The phrase NEW COVENANT is not found in the Bible.

Again, let me repeat:

The phrase NEW COVENANT is not found in the Bible.

Ah, but it is, once in Matthew, Mark, Luke and 1 Corinthians. Twice in 2 Corinthians and four times in Hebrews.

Matthew 26:28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Mark 14:24 He said to them, “This is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many.

Luke 22:20 In like manner, He took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood which is shed for you.

1 Corinthians 11:25 In the same manner He took the cup after He had supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

2 Corinthians 3:1 [ Ministers of the New Covenant ] Do we begin again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as some others, letters of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?

2 Corinthians 3:6 who has made us able ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Hebrews 8:8 For finding fault with them, God says: “Surely the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,

Hebrews 8:13 In speaking of a new covenant He has made the first one old. Now that which is decaying and growing old is ready to vanish away.In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

Hebrews 9:15 For this reason He is the Mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the sins that were committed under the first covenant, so that those who are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

Hebrews 12:24 and to Jesus, the Mediator of a new covenant; and to the sprinkled blood that speaks better than that of Abel.

Hebrews 8:12"FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR INIQUITIES, AND I WILL REMEMBER THEIR SINS NO MORE." 13When He said, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear.

You must be a bit wacky!:mmph:

Really? Maybe you haven't thought the problem out completely. I will wager with you that if it were possible to erase all past divorce that there would not be one living soul on this planet.

Everyone now living would not be here if it were not for divorce. We are all direct descendents of divorce. And when God says that He hates divorce it is another way of saying that He hates us. He hates sin. He hates divorce.

Praise God that He did not leave us in His hate. But He sent the Savior and now He loves us. He loves us even though we are the result of sin. The very product of divorce.

I absolutely disagree with your interpretation of the statement that "God hates divorce." It does not make sense to me. Especially, because, when in this text God said, "He hates divorce," He was nor referring to the divorce between a man and a woman but to have to let Israel the Ten Tribes go whereas Judah would remain as a People before the Lord forever. (Psa. 78:67-69)

Let's see...

I haven't added or subtracted anything to the book of the Revelation.

And... I don't say the Lord delays His coming (as does a wicked servant) and agree He came quickly and is yet bodily coming quickly.

So... It's odd that you would even post that scripture reference.

It doesn't change anything. "Put away" (apoluo) is not divorce. It's the loosing (verbally, with witnesses by custom) of a spouse without a writ; making the innocent put away spouse an adulteress/adulterer, and anyone marrying that put away spouse an adulterer/adulteress by law. The only exception was porneia (foreign/pagan/idolatrous) spouses, which required no writ to put away (eg Ezra 10 wives).

Since there is no such modern equivalent of putting away without a writ, there is no current application for this passage in its hermeneutical context in the Gospels; and Paul was later addressing a version of Roman verbal divorce and the circumstances surrounding that issue.

Since Christ fulfilled the Abrahamic and Mosaic covenants of faith and law (the latter NOT being legislative, but covenantal), the Old Testament standard is upheld and fulfilled in Christ. Divorce and remarriage was and is allowed with a writ accompanying the putting away.

The Old Testament standard was argued as "any cause" versus "cause", with "cause" being sexual, physical, and/or emotional abuse or severe neglect. "Any cause" was the question put to Jesus by the Pharisees in Matthew 19 (likely after hearing of His addressing the topic in Matthew 5 after the Sermon on the Mount).

They were attempting to force Jesus' confession of Himself as Messiah by affrming the Shammai Rabbinical School's "cause" over the Hillel Rabbinical School's "any cause", which was foretold by the sages of old as a sign of His coming.

It was also an attempt for Jesus to take a stand that would divide the general public of the Theocracy and hopefully incite the same ire that got John the Baptist beheaded for his stance against such marital issues.

Instead, Jesus evaded their traps and parabalically revealed Himself as the Bridegroom to His pending Bride, which would include both Jews and Gentiles.

Those who engage in modern law methodology (the character, quality, and activity of THE law in modern forms) are not trusting Christ with faith for access into grace.

The New Testament standard for divorce and remarriage is putting away with a writ, as confirmed by our Savior. But in the New Testament era, we have all we need to forgive "any cause", including "cause" of sexual, physical, and/or emotional abuse and/or severe neglect.

So divorce and remarriage should be only for extreme cases and as led by the Spirit. It shouldn't be turned into the unpardonable sin, elevated above all the other sinning and sins that plague others' lives who may not be divorced or remarried.

If you and others were as concerned about the sanctity of your marriage to Christ as you are about wrongly judging those who are divorced (while clinging to your own sin AND the law), maybe there'd be an effective modern church in changing the world by sharing the Gospel.

But NOOOOOOO... Instead of sharing the Gospel, you spend your time accusing and condemning others according to your novice false doctrine and self-righteousness.

You are everything that is wrong with the modern Christian faith. May your unrighteous judgment be upon your own head.
