Well, he probably will be acquitted but the damage has been done with these proceedings and the undeniable evidence presented. It'll be interesting to see how things unfold...

Probably so, but there's a slim chance: The 2/3 vote is of those senators present for the vote.
All that's needed is enough GOP to be absent. It's a long shot, but there it is.

If they ever did get a 2/3 majority, you would have to find a court to enforce the unconstitutionalness of the trials ruling. It isn't an impeachment now that Trump is no longer president.
