The LOST TEMPLE Mount

"Dr. Eilat Mazar’s excavation at the Ophel in Jerusalem was one of the most high-profile investigations in the field of Biblical archaeology. The area between the City of David and the Temple Mount has been known as the Ophel (meaning “a high place to climb to”) since the First Temple period. In the Bible, King Jotham “did much building on the wall of the Ophel” (11 Chronicles 27:3) in the mid-8th century B.C.E., and the site’s history stretches back well before this constructon. In her book Discovering the Solomonic Wall in Jerusalem, Mazar recounts the storied excavation history of the site, which sits at the heart of ancient Jerusalem. Ophel investigators include Captain Charles Warren, Dame Kathleen Kenyon and (Eilat Mazar’s grandfather) Benjamin Mazar, yet none of these esteemed predecessors uncovered a cache as striking as the one found by Eilat Mazar during the 2013 field season."

...and which of these says that the Temple was in the city of David?

Sounds good. Can you name a few?
Since you are "there", why don't you go and talk to the director of the dig in the City of David.
Of course, those who are honest and don't rely on 1,000 years of "tradition", and seek truth won't
"throw their pearls before swine" - in other words, the honest archeologists don't entertain hostile foolish inquiries.

At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD;
and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the NAME of the LORD,
to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.

Jeremiah 13:7
God has a name...... hmmmmmmmmm

Please re-edit your grammar as it is not clear whether you are saying the above or claiming Derek said it? Either way that is wrong.

It appears that you know near zero on the subject as does your "mathematician" book-seller Derek Walker.
It appears that Derek just reads 100-200 year-old works on the subject of old Jerusalem, condenses the information, and produces another book to sell. That way, Derek Walker doesn't have to "do any real WALKING", but can sit in his easy chair and write books in comfort. ka-ching, ka-ching $$$$$$$

I am here. And I know an archaeologist who has dug there. A relative of mine. He has never heard of such a thing.

You claimed:
there are (and have been) many Jewish archeologists in Israel that know that the Temple stood in the City of David. .

So who are these "many Jewish archeologists in Israel"? Name 2 or 3. Shouldn't be difficult, if there are "many".

Put up or shut up.

[re: Jamie's post #20]...and which of these says that the Temple was in the city of David?
So, when you are reading the Tanakh, does a "veil" or "blindfold" drop down over your eyes?
Considering this, I doubt anyone really "in the know" about Haram al Sherif/City of David, would disclose any "inside info" to a secular skeptic such as yourself.

Perhaps your archeological "connection" is one of those that walk around with a little trowel and a little paint brush?
