The Birthright of Trumpenstein

Just because this part of the site is getting kinda ridiculous in the Trump-worship department.
And because too many people are honestly considering getting rid of a right guaranteed by the Constitution they claim to honor.

Finally, and perhaps the most damning, Trump is the “Frankenstein’s creation” of Republican ideology from the past fifty years. He’s openly and unapologetically racist. He’s openly and unapologetically misogynistic. He openly and unapologetically flaunts his wealth. He’s openly and unapologetically responsible for buying politicians and corrupting our political system to the state it is now. Worst of all, he spreads outright lies – not misleading statements or double-talk, out-right lies – worse than any Republican candidate in years and no one within the party or on FOX can fact-check him because bringing facts into the conversation would unravel every Republican candidate’s talking points and political bull. He is a living essence of everything the Republican Party has campaigned on and defined themselves by for generations now, and the Republican voters just eat it up.

Without birthright citizenship, the only way to become a US citizen is to go through the same naturalization process immigrants must to obtain citizenship – which is hardly the most robust and efficient immigration system in the world – or inherit it from your parents who are US citizens. But therein lies the kicker; how did your parents get their citizenship? If it was because they were born here, their citizenship wouldn’t count any more under President Trump, and if your parents weren’t citizens, there’s no way you could have inherited it from them. The same applies to your grandparents, and great grandparents. You’d have to track family history back all the way until you found an ancestor that underwent a legal naturalization process, i.e. an immigrant, to prove that you are a US citizen. If your great, great, great grandfather came to America illegally, sorry, but someone has to pay for that, and it’s an ever increasing Republican ideology that the sins of the father should be paid for by the son, and in this case the grandson, great grandson, or whichever generation is still alive.

I'm not sure Trump is racist. Trumpt has been in the public eye for decades and I don't remember Trump being accused of racism back in the 1980's or 1990's. Arrogant and pompous, sure, but racist?

Trump is just the latest evolution in our money-driven electoral system. Rather than billionaires funding candidates, Trump just took the next logical step. He's skipping the middle man and using his money to run for office himself.

If nothing changes, eventually our presidential elections will be direct contests between billionaires (rather than the indirect contests they are now).

Ross Perot did this way back in 1992.
