A simple question about the bible(old testament)God. It’s possible that a GOd have
a elected people and for this people He sends to death many other people?
In a war it’s possible that two people, who fights one against the other , pray the same God with the purpose to win the war. God must be neutral, I think but in the Exodus this is not so.

The paganism in Canaan was pretty awful. There was child sacrifice. In one part of the culture, the most productive farmer had "rights" to a virgin of his choice as an act of 'worship' in this fertility cult. The child was then also burnt to further insure the best crop possible. The whole thing was a bloody mess, with farmers killing others in the competition.

The most stunning thing happened, then, when Abraham did not sacrifice Isaac. For the first time, an animal was sacrificed smack in the middle of this culture instead. And was eaten. it was a statement that there was another God, he valued human life, he was to be worshipped, and there was no 'magic' to the preservation of nature's cycle; the God himself kept it going.

Yes it was awful. Paganism and bibble god. Later having some good sheep dinners, but no piggies for the dinner.

Today, God approves of eating piggies, thanks to the FDA.
