ECT So you say you are born again

So what evidence might there be in your disposition that might reveal to your soul ___ you have a problem?

One is "physically born" then, if they hear the "Grace Message"
and place their faith in Christ, they become "Spiritually born, again!"
It's as simple as that!

Most are "physically born" but, never become, "Spiritually born,"
do to rejection of the Gospel!

Perhaps I should have added this [alternate] question to the OP:

What evidence should be expected TO my disposition that would affirm me to myself that I have been, born again?

<sigh> What is the evidence that might have that a problem?

Here's a clue:

"[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope] That if possible I may attain to the [spiritual and moral] resurrection [that lifts me] out from among the dead [even while in the body].
Not that I have now attained [this ideal], or have already been made perfect, but I press on to lay hold of (grasp) and make my own, that for which Christ Jesus (the Messiah) has laid hold of me and made me His own." . . . . Paul . . . . Philippians 3:10-12 (AMP)

If, at any time in your life, you should hear "Paul's Gospel" (Christ's
Gospel) and place ALL your faith in Christ as your Savior, and not
yourself, your church, your good works/deeds, or your water baptism,
then, the Holy Spirit will seal and indwell you, and baptize (not by
water) you into the "Body of Christ!"

You will have Christ's righteousness and be considered a, "Born-
Again, Child of God! There's no other way!!

You mention "I" a lot don't you? It's not "I" or "you" that, seals,
and indwells you and baptizes you into the "Body of Christ!" It's
a Spiritual work of the "Holy Spirit!" You or I can't do anything
except, place our faith in Christ alone! The Holy Spirit does the
rest!

Are you the "I" being spoken of?

Shoot, by your lack of reading comprehension, you reveal you aren't even qualified to discuss the issue. Go back to bed.

Where's the evidence I asked for??

Open your Bible (Romans through Philemon) and pray to God that, He'll
give you wisdom and knowledge to understand what "Paul's Gospel" is
trying to say to you? We are saved today, through faith in Christ which
Paul's Gospel expands upon! You've heard the "Grace Message" being
preached on this forum, many times! Faith comes by hearing and
hearing by the word of God! (Romans 10:17)

I don't believe it's sunk in with you, or a lot of the others? So, to find
your "Evidence" you'll have to start with Romans through Philemon!

Perhaps, the written word of God will get through to you, or, perhaps
not? But, that's all I can say!

Really? Show the writing of someone who defines it as that?

The term should in fact be ''generated from above''.

Generated is from the Greek gennao which means to procreate and by extension figuratively to regenerate. In the context of what is being said, to whom it was being said and the fact of regeneration being a firm doctrine 'generated' is what Nicodemus heard and understood.

anothen in Greek literally means from above.

These are simply facts and are undeniable. The problem always occurs when people like yourself make statements about the scriptures without first understanding what the words mean.

Jay P Green in his Interlinear Third Edition has this in the literal section. Young's literal translation also gives 'above' but uses the term born.

YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN .

First of Water to Wash away Past Sins and Die to your Past ways.

Second to Die physically and have your spirit put in an Eternal Silicon Body.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

John 3:3 Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

5 Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
------------------------------------------------------------------

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible,

by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Who was Jesus speaking to in the 4 Gospels?

Hey!!! Argue with Paul! He wrote all those "I's"; the passage, not me. It is a shame you need to have such picayune stuff pointed out to you. But then I should always expect that from your cult mentality.

GROSNICK asked,

Who was Jesus speaking to in the 4 Gospels?
--------------------------------------------------

Looks like only John's book unless you consider the statement

Mark 13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all,

-----------------======================----------

John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old?

John 7:50 Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them,)

John 19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night,

and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.
