"For whom he did foreknow he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the first-born among many brethern. Morover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and them he also glorified" Romans 8:29, 30.

This scripture appears to support Calvinism, but does it?

FOREKNOW: This is not prescience or advance knowledge. This knowledge should also be understood in the same sense of being acquainted with, but in the sense of bringing into a relationship with.

God foreknew that there would be a human race. It was God's plan and purpose that the human race would be conformed to the image of his Son.

Has this happened? Does God now see all of humanity in his Son Jesus Christ? Is Jesus the first born among many brethern? The answer is yes to both questions.

God has reconciled the whole world unto himself by Jesus Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:19. God now sees ALL THINGS in his Son Jesus Christ, Colossians 1:20. Jesus Christ is God's new creation and his new humanity, 2 Corinthians 5:17.

As far as God is concerned sin, death and the devil have been abolished. They were defeated and put away by his Son Jesus Christ, Colossians 2:15. When Jesus said that he was the savior of the whole world he meant it, John 12:47.

God does nothing on an individual basis. He is no respector of any ones persons, Acts 10:34. Everything that God does he does corporately. He sends Jesus into the world to atone for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD, not "some certain persons" sins, 1 John 2:2.

Jesus didn't taste death for "some certain persons" he tasted death for everyone, Hebrews 2:9.

If Jesus had not defeated sin, death and the devil no one could be saved. If Jesus had not reconciled the world unto God, 2 Corinthians 5:19 all would have been lost. It is because of the doing and the dying of Jesus that anyone, all, "Whosoever that shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" Romans 10:13.

If God has reconciled the world unto himself by Jesus Christ then God sees all of humanity in his Son Jesus Christ.

This is why Jesus can now claim to be the savior of the world, John 12:47.

As far as God is concerned Jesus has victoriously defeated sin, death and the devil, Colossians 2:15.

Many of you don't want to believe this because it makes your religion worthless.
