Police Funding Themselves

By Confiscating People’s Property.

The government is using Civil Asset Forfeiture to simply rob people. The numbers are in for Texas alone. The police department stole $50 million in confiscations during 2017 when nobody was ever charged with a crime. They hate to publish these numbers because they know they are doing something unethical. They seize property and it is the PROPERTY that is PRESUMED to be guilty. The burden is on you to get a lawyer and pay all the expenses to try to get your property back. You will not be reimbursed for the legal fees so they know they just get away with it. This is part of the financial crisis we are in that will ultimately lead to revolution and the collapse of the United States probably in the aftermath of 2032.

their meaning can be found if you have the resources to hire a good lawyer and fight for it

any judge who allows this should be removed from office

It is pretty amazing the means they go through to get around those amendments. What they do is separate the confiscated items from their owners by a legal fiction that the item itself is guilty of a crime. Thus you get silly court case names like State of Texas v 10,000 dollars in cash. As Dozer correctly points out, they are counting on people not being able to hire a good enough lawyer to fight it.
