Paul: "I stand in Defense of the Gospel" Philippians 1:17.

Paul didn't say, "I stand in defense of the doctrine of predestination" Nor did Paul say, "I stand in defense of my religion".

The thrust of Paul's ministry was the preaching of the Gospel and the message of justification by faith apart from the works of the law. Paul spent over 20 years of his life and traveled over 10,000 miles by foot, donkey and ship, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Jews followed Paul everywhere that we went. He was beaten, whipped, stoned and one time he was left for dead. There are memorials to Paul in many of the towns that Paul visited along the upper coast of the Mediterranean Sea that can be seen today.

What was Paul's Gospel?

Paul received his Gospel directly from Jesus Christ, Galatians 1:11,12. It was the same Gospel that Peter preached on the day of Pentecost, only in more detail. We know this to be true because when the Gospel is preached the Holy Spirit is there to magnify the work and the person of Jesus Christ and to convict people of their need for Christ.

The Gospel that Paul preached is not being preached in today's organized church. Organized religion and the Gospel of Jesus Christ are not compatible. Never have been, never will be. For one thing there is to much freedom in the Gospel for organized religion. Organized religion wants to keep its membership under the law so that they will give their money and support the ministry.

Paul taught that his Gospel justifies ungodly sinners. "But to him that does no works, but believes on him that justifies the ungodly, his faith (not his works) are counted for righteousness" Romans 4:5. Faith counts for righteousness, not works. This means that you don't have to tithe or go to church to be saved. Bad news for organized religion. Good news for ungodly sinners.

Paul also taught that those ungodly sinners have ALREADY been reconciled to God by Jesus Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:18, 19. This is why those ungodly sinners have been justified (MADE righteous by faith). Jesus Christ, as God's new Adam and humanities new representative has ALREADY victoriously defeated sin, death and the devil, Colossians 2:15 and is Lord, Acts 2:36.

Jesus, in our name and on our behalf Jesus has entered into heaven and now sits at the right hand of God as the "King of Kings and the Lord of Lords" Revelation 19:16. Paul wrote... "And you are complete in him" Colossians 2:10. If this is true, then what good is your organized religion? If Jesus has fulfilled and has abolished God's holy law, Ephesians 2:15 and has atoned for your sins and the sins of the whole world, 1 John 4:14. Then what good is your religion or any religion?

If spiritually, we are in Christ and Christ is in heaven, Colossians 3:3, then what merit do you posses that God will acknowledge and save you? Many will say to me on that day, "Lord, Lord, didn't we..." Matthew 7:21-23. Here is a group of people that are religious. They are convinced that they have been predestinated to salvation because God saw some merit in them that he didn't see in those ungodly sinners. Or they believe that they have attained to some sort of righteousness that God will accept. The Bible makes it clear that we are only accepted in Jesus Christ and outside of Christ there is no acceptance.

You don't believe the Gospel, you deny that Christ death alone saved them He died for. You teach that sinners Christ died for are going to perish in their sins anyways. That's a attack on the saving blood of Christ!

You are a sad case.

You can't refute what I say, all that you can do is make false accusations.

It has been proposed that we are saved by God's grace, not by our merit. Why do you believe salvation is based on merit?

Our salvation is based on the merit of Jesus Christ, 100%.

Sinners of which we are all one of, have no saving merit.

It was Jesus that fulfilled God's holy law. it was Jesus that atoned for our sins and the sins of the whole world.

If Salvation is based on the Saving Merit of Christ 100 %, then why do you teach that sinners He lived and died for wind up lost in their sins ? Thats a contradiction !

You are the sad case, teaching that Christ's precious blood failed to save every sinner it was shed for.

The scriptures plainly teach that salvation has been provided for everyone, Hebrews 2:9.

You are not able to believe God's word because you do not have his Spirit.

Pate, you can't even comprehend what having the Spirit of God is, because you are not of God John 8:47.

Those Christ tasted death for are reconciled to God by His death while enemies, and shall be saved by His Life ! Yet you teach that people Christ tasted death for wind up lost in their sins, making Christ's death of non effect !

You and Nanja are perverters of God's word.

The scripture does not say that they are reconciled to God WHILE they are sinners. It says that "WHEN THEY WERE" sinners.

You are a typical heretic, screwing with God's word.

Yes,I agree, the organised church religion has lost touch with the Word of God. A few people here are universalists: suggesting that Jesus died for everyone, and anyone Jesus died for cannot be lost.
The truth is Jesus death was for the sin of all the elect of God, and all the elect of God will be saved. They cannot be lost(Jn6). God's goodness is upon all he has made, but his saving love is lavished only on his elect. Not every sinner is among those elected by God.

You are in conflict with the word of God. A very serious thing to do.

The Bible plainly teaches that Jesus is the savior of the whole world, 1 John 2:2 also 1 John 4:14.

Jesus claims to be the savior of the whole world, John 12:47.

Salvation has been provided for EVERYONE, Hebrews 2:9.

Salvation belongs to those who believe the Gospel and embrace it as their only means of salvation, "Whosoever that shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved" Romans 10:13.

Specifically, justification by the faith OF Jesus Christ and not by the works of the law:

Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

What was Paul's Gospel?
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV

Yep! Galatians 1:11-12 KJV
It was the same Gospel that Peter preached on the day of Pentecost, only in more detail.
No, Robert! Peter did not preach "that Christ died for our sins" at Pentecost. Peter did not know the why of the cross.
We know this to be true because when the Gospel is preached the Holy Spirit is there to magnify the work and the person of Jesus Christ and to convict people of their need for Christ.
Peter preached what God would have him to preach in Acts 2, but that does not make it the same gospel that Paul preached as the power of God.

The Gospel that Paul preached is not being preached in today's organized church.
true. It is being hid from them by these: 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 KJV
Organized religion and the Gospel of Jesus Christ are not compatible.
Actually, the religious, denominational sytem has taken the gospel of Jesus Christ that had it's beginning in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and has been trying to apply it as to us today in the dispensation of the grace of God since the days of Paul. It's an "other gospel" unto us (Galatians 1:8-9 KJV). The gospel, doctrine, duty and destination to us is all found in Romans through Philemon!

If Peter preached any other Gospel different from Paul's, let him be accused Gal 1:7-8

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Yes that goes for Peter too!

Universal salvation is not true, but that doesn't negate the facts that the will of God is that all men be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth proven by the man Christ Jesus giving Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. Whereunto Paul was ordained a preacher, and an apostle, a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

1 Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

1 Timothy 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

1 Timothy 2:7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

So, while universal salvation is untrue as one must trust the Lord believing the word of truth, universal reconciliation is true as in 2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Scripture does not say "While they are enemies".

Scripture says... "When they were enemies" which is past tence.

You cannot be reconciled to God and be his enemy.

There you again denying the Gospel right in front of your face. So you don't defend the Gospel, you reject it.
