News article from today... Neandertals are us.

"Revelations in 2016 about tiny Hobbits, big-footed*Homo erectus*and other early humans brought us closer than ever.*Neanderthals and other archaic humans used to be considered distant beings, with no real connection to people today. Yet discoveries in 2016 show that early humans are so close to many of us that they're in our DNA — for better or worse."

Also, the Denisovans seem to be as human as you and I.

Denisovans, a mysterious population of archaic humans that lived at around the same time as Neanderthals, could have interbred with*Homo sapiens*more than previously thought"*http://www.seeker.com/our-connectio...d-other-ancient-humans-deepen-2169789944.html

Humans were on the ark. Were white people on the ark? pygmies? Cree Indians? ...No.
various people groups are descendants of the 'Arkians'.

So Neandertals were descendants of the Arkians or on the Ark as livestock or on the Ark as one of Noah's Son's wife?

now we gotta share with neanderthals? :freak:

no way :nono:

It seems like there might have been some "sharing" going on with the Neanderthals but all humans alive today share a couple of features that record bottlenecks in our lineage and the Neanderthals don't have those markers.

But they don't share our Mitochondrial DNA
So, what are your thoughts? I'm not sure what you are thinking, so I will try cover a few things.

Science has helped reveal the humanity of Neandertals. They made jewellery, seemed to use makeup, seemed to understand nutrition, buried their dead with ceremony etc. Science also shows that most of us do have Neandertal DNA. *So, we know that our great great gramma had children with a man from a different people group. That would be no different than discovering you also had 2% Asian ancestry and 6% South American. *We are still fully human, as are our most distant ancestors. We know from God's Word that we only reproduce the same kind.*

As to why there is no mtDNA; here is a *possible answers from a secular source. *"The absence of Neanderthal mtDNA could be caused by dying out of the*H. sapiens*population(s) that interbred with Neanderthals (which may also explain the absence of Y-chromosomal genes from Neanderthals). " You can also find answers on Christian sites such as creation.com

I believe Neandertals were descendants of Noah. They would have likely been an isolated people group after Babel.

Ah, Now we have some specifics. So, the flood ended when?? How long ago? And Babel, when was that, how long ago? Once we tie those dates down, we can then see when the Neanderthal people group lived.

Neanderthal Hoax Exposed

A sensational archaeological hoax has been exposed in Germany. It's been revealed that Professor Reiner Protsch von Zieten, a professor at a University in Frankfurt, has been systematically lying about the ages of skulls he found, claiming that they were far older than they actually were. In one instance he said that a skull was 21,300-years-old, although it was only 1300-years-old. As the Guardian reports:

"Anthropology is going to have to completely revise its picture of modern man between 40,000 and 10,000 years ago," said Thomas Terberger, the archaeologist who discovered the hoax. "Prof Protsch's work appeared to prove that anatomically modern humans and Neanderthals had co-existed, and perhaps even had children together. This now appears to be rubbish."

Apparently Prof. Protsch began his career as a forger when he returned from studying in America decades ago and discovered that he was unable to work a carbon-dating machine. So he just started making up the ages of things.

Professor Chris Stringer of the Department of Palaeontology at London's Natural History Museum, says that Hahnhöfersand Man

was never regarded as a Neanderthal and was briefly important in the 1980s to people like Gunter Brauer, who were arguing for gene flow between Neanderthals and modern humans. However, as anyone who is familiar with the palaeoanthropological literature over the last 20 years would know, the find has been of negligible significance to recent debate. It has to be said that this is also a reflection of Dr. Protsch's low reputation in the field, as anyone familiar with the recent literature would also know (personal correspondence).*

Sure...the flood happened about 4500 years ago. Now you want to argue that evolutionists say they died out 40,000 years ago.
A Few Things evolutionists had wrong about Neandertals:
Evolutionists were wrong to believing they were dim witted
Evolutionists were wrong portraying Neandertals as stooped over hairy creatures
Evolutionists were wrong claiming a Neandertals were carnivores
Evolutionists were wrong claiming Neandertals were a different species from us.
Evolutionists were wrong saying Neandertals were in apple of articulate speech
Evolutionists were wrong saying Neandertals had no culture
Evolutionists were wrong saying Neandertals didn't bury their dead with ceremony.
Evolutionists were very wrong saying Neandertals couldn't mate with humans.
So..... Evolutionists were wrong on all that, yet you still want to trust them on dating?
