Mega bucks frivolous lawsuit payouts - the crooked American dream

Not much else spells greed like the practice of suing people or entities with deep pockets for obscene damage awards. Who benefits? Lawyers and small numbers of people used by lawyers to extort money from rich victims of unjust accusations of wrongdoing.

Parents and relatives of Sandy Hook victims sued a gun manufacturer for the mass shooting at Sandy Hook, and the greedy won against the innocent gun manufacturer victim of the extortion scheme. If America had good leaders and good laws this sort of daylight robbery would not be allowed.

Gun manufacturer Remington Arms has reached a settlement worth $73 million with the families of victims killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, multiple outlets reported on Tuesday.

"Driven by profit goals set by parent company Cerberus, Remington changed its previously sober approach to marketing firearms in favor of an aggressive, multi-media campaign that pushed sales of AR-15s through product placement in first-person shooter videogames and by touting the AR-15’s effectiveness as a killing machine," lawyers stated in the press release

so how much of a settlement did they get against the manufacturers of the video games?

Maybe they should have sued the government school system for their failure to either properly train the kid to be civilized or properly monitor him for satanic behavior if he could not be civilized. That would have been more appropriate. The gun manufacturer had no responsibility whatsoever to insure the improperly trained and disciplined shooter would not act like the devil and do the will of the devil for lack of proper Christian training and influence.

Don't sue gun manufacturers. That would be wrong. Sue the criminals who abuse guns and who should be blamed for that abuse rather than trying to blame everything and everyone else in the world for their own sins.

More legal trouble for former Trump impersonator Alec Baldwin. He is being sued by the family of Halyna Hutchins. Hutchins was the cinematographer of the Baldwin-produced movie Rust who was shot and killed by the gun that was in Alec Baldwin's hand. Attorney's representing Hutchins's husband and son are suing Baldwin and the other producers claiming that “reckless conduct and cost-cutting measures” by Baldwin are what “led to the death of Halyna Hutchins.”

How ironic. A flaming leftist Trump-hating movie star is now being charged for violating gun laws he supported in opposition to President Trump and the majority of the American people.

Most Americans support reasonable gun control.

Yes. But what they think you mean is something like "fully automatic guns should be registered" or "guns above a certain size should be illegal" or something like that, while what you mean by reasonable is "people are not allowed to defend themselves with a gun so all guns must be confiscated except for the government's guns"

Most Americans agree that most gun crimes are being committed by thugs who ignore gun laws already in existence, proving more gun laws will not stop crooks from violating gun laws.

Right, and people go through stops signs so much despite the law, so we should remove stop signs?

The goal is reduction in gun violence, not a foolproof answer.

Preventing honest people from getting guns is not the solution.

Getting tough on those that illegally use guns to commit crimes would help.

How does increasing restrictions on the gun rights of 90% of good Americans reduce gun violence by the 10% of Americans who do not obey gun laws to begin with?

Requiring training of honest people about gun safety and risk factors before allowing licenses might prevent honest accidents, and suicides, and gun theft.

Agreed. (It was bound to happen once.)
The nanny state restricts the rights of Americans too much already in the name of safety and group benefit. Americans had been responsible for their own safety and judgment for hundreds of years and justly resent a growing mommy state bureaucracy now telling them what they can and cannot do for their own good.

Killings by "honest" testosterone tainted gun toters increase in areas where ammosexuals reign. Making the deaths of petty criminals, intoxicated youth, and lost travelers a virtue- is in itself a tragedy.

Disarming good people is exactly what murderous thugs want.

That was some pretty unimpressive babbling. Did you know that a few locations in the US account for most of the murders in the US? And they also tend to be locations that have a great deal stricter gun control?

Gun violence is greatest in areas with the strictest gun control measures, as you say, and areas under the greatest control of leftist, gun-grabbing, Marxist, fascist democrat tyrants.

Perhaps my favorite post. I think it is accurate and wryly poetic.

Did you know my post was not about murders? Or are you agreeing those legal killings should be criminalized?

Stricter gun control is caused by higher murder rate. Not the other way around.

You seem unable to draw sensible conclusions from the fact that democrat enclaves see rising gun violence in direct proportion to the passage of stricter gun controls.

No, since you were babbling nonsense I just responded with an obvious statement showing the bottom line benefit of having the right of people to defend themselves remain unrestricted.

Stricter gun control is caused by higher murder rate. Not the other way around.
Sure, making policies against the right to defend one's self are implemented because people aren't defending themselves.

In a nutshell, more guns equals less crime.
