53 Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these parables, that He departed from there. 54 When He had come to His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works? 55 Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? 56 And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this Man get all these things?” 57 So they were offended at Him.

46 And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.

" His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas "

are identified as being sons of another woman named Mary (Mark 15:40; cf. John 19:25 where's she's said to be married to Cleopas; these are His cousins), this is what the New Testament Gospels say.

46 And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.

Do you think Enoch would call God his Savior, or do you think, since Enoch walked with God and did not sin, that he thought, "God is not my Savior"? This is an important question because this is the point you're trying to make in quoting this Scripture, you are saying that Mary must have been a sinner, because she called God her Savior, so what do you think about Enoch? Would he deny God is his Savior? being sinless, walking with God?

... Elevating Mary to a deity.

Nobody does that. And if they do, they do it in error, and it is not authorized Catholicism but distorted Catholicism.

I said she is a sinner like the rest of us and calls God her savior. She was a godly woman who had many children. I received a reply that said "None of that is in the Bible".

So I posted from Romans 3, Matthew 13 and Luke 1. When I go to notifications his reply to me is gone. I am pretty sure the group pulled my post showing scriptural fact. Proving they are not mistaken, but demon possessed perverts. I am teasing about carpet bombing. I was polite and said exactly what I posted here. I read their posts because they complain about The Pope. A lot.

idk what's to complain about. I like him. It's historic to have a native born English speaking pope, first one ever, and it's got to grind the gears of the British that he's American and not British or at least from a Commonwealth country like Canada or New Zealand or something. We can understand him directly, not through a translation or a filthy foreigner's dialect of English like so many previous popes who could speak English used. I mean I have no problem with thick accents morally, it's just quite pleasant to hear the pope speaking in plain English for once.
