Many study the numbers 6 and 7 but what about 2?

Hello. My posts it seems usually cause controversy; so, I thought I'd just start here with this topic. Maybe this will be a more acceptable place.

The first time I even thought about two was with the creation of Adam as male / female and then both being brought forth into the Earth ... Adam's body formed from the elements of creation called ground while female's/Woman's body was taken from the bones or perhaps blood from the bone marrow of His side. Anyway, these two do not fit the theory I formed later about the number two. After all from Seth .... to Noah ... to Abraham, to Isaac and Jacob there was only one chosen to set examples of Godly things.

My mind was opened to the theory of TWO when I read about Moses coming on the scene of history. It was said that Moses to Pharoah was like God ... then was said, Aaron was like a prophet. God had chosen one - Moses, but by request God allowed Moses to have a partner. That is when the significance of TWO hit me.

Aaron spoke for Moses and I think in so few words this was illustrating 'he helped make way' for Moses. The two were messengers between God Almighty/Elohiym and Pharoah representing God and his prophet.

One day I read about Moses standing on the Rock of Horeb and striking The ROCK once to provide water. I had learned by then that The ROCK represented The ROCK of our Salvation/Christ/Lord Jesus. Moses was to strike The ROCK only once, which he did correctly. BUT, later Moses (representing God and Aaron representing God's prophet) stood upon that same ROCK OF SALVATION and Moses was only to speak to The ROCK. Instead he was angry and said, "Num 20:10-11: Must WE fetch you water out of this rock?"

I had also learned by this time that water often was symbolic of the living spirit from God. I had also learned that an additional measure of spirit water/spiritual life from God provided by our Savior would make sure that the woman at the well would never thirst from a lack of sustained life again, but rather would be the extra measure of life from God to make here immortal.

Why do you think that God would be angry with Moses and perhaps Aaron standing there??? BTW, they both had to die after this event.

I dare to suggest: Sure God was planning to come to die to save us from falling short of God's intended glory for us ... but was it HIS intention for his prophet to die too? I forget the exact timing in the case of Moses, but you and I know God sent fire from heaven to destroy two sons of Aaron for making a mistake of using fire from their sensors instead of waiting on fire from out of God to light the incense at the dedication of the temple/tabernacle. So God was/is able to erase big mistakes when he wants!

Yet, we are told God loved Moses like a friend and I theorize this: Instead of erasing him immediately from earth and heaven by fire God decided to again honor a request from his friend!!! But this time it came with a cost because Moses, as God's messenger, had misrepresented future things of God. Moses and Aaron would have to die to fulfill the symbolism.

Now, can't we see where two had to die in the future when the Messiah arrived? Doesn't John the Prophet's question make sense to you now?

John knew Jesus was the Messiah. He had preached that as soon as Jesus was revealed Matt 3:14; John 1:27; John 3:30. So, what was the point of John's question? John asked this KJV Matt. 11:3 and Luke 7:19: Are you the ONE who is to come, OR SHOULD WE EXPECT ANOTHER ONE?

The culmination of my theory is this: Scripture lets us know John knew Jesus as The Messiah. I suggest that John knew something of the mystery of both Moses/God's representative and Aaron/God's representative prophet having stood on That ROCK while representing prophesy of something greater to come than literal H2O that day. Both of them became the symbol of the required death of TWO before spiritual life was provided.

So, yes, Jesus in his day had to die as God the Messiah - but was there to be another one to die at that time? John wanted to know. Jesus pretty much answered John: Paraphrased from Matt. 11: 4-6 and 9-10.

Tell John I Am The ONE - God who provides spiritual immortality. Please remind John of all the things I've done and do even while he is in prison ... Please, John, don't be offended for blessed is he whosoever shall not be offended in me ... in me who is God the Messiah.

Now, why might John have been offended? Well, he had fulfilled his mission faithfully as God's prophet but Jesus knew he was about to face death anyway. John could easily be tempted to become angry or would have to choose to trust in the Messiah's last words to him ... that blessings would come for his sacrifice if he were not offended. Jesus went on to praise John saying, There has been no better man to ever have lived than John.

God fulfilled the incorrect symbolic demonstration depicted by Moses upon That ROCK ... because God loved Moses. We have a merciful God!

Now, is there any wonder there will be TWO witnesses making the way before the Lord's return??? Who could they be?????? I have some suggestions. Controversial but here goes: Moses and Aaron who began the theory of there willingly being TWO necessary ... to complete things correctly.

However it was told that the ROCK of Horeb in the name of our Lord was struck once and then again. What might that mean? Our Christ died once for all ... but the symbolism showed another strike against the Messiah. Sigh??? Anyone with their ideas on these two???
