Police on alert as hoard of HIGH-POWER military guns STOLEN from Army base

A STOCKPILE of military weapons have been stolen after an armoury was raided, according to police.

The Army barrack was raided by thievesThieves broke into a firearms vault inside the barracks and took 16 guns.
Six of the guns were M4 Carbine assault rifles, while 10 Sig Sauer pistols were also taken from the vault sparking terror fears.

Police, along with the FBI, are investigating the break-in which took place at the United States Army Reserve armoury in Worcester, Massachusetts.

But officers quashed rumours of the weapons being taken for terrorism, insisting they will do everything they can to retrieve the stolen cache.

The FBI said in a statement: "There is no indication that these missing weapons are connected to any kind of terrorism threat whatsoever.
"Nevertheless, every effort will be made to recover these weapons immediately."

The soldiers in the top picture aren't even American. What gives? A few units in the Navy are said to use the Sig. But the Army Reserve? No way.

yep this story needs close look from more than one direction.

Maybe it was an 'under the radar' appropriation without paperwork?
