If a man was on his death bed, and given the Quran, he would see that he doesn’t have time to perform everything that is necessary such as praying three times a day, being good and performing the five tenants of Islam, to get assurance of Heaven with that book.
If he was given the Book of Mormon, he would see that he doesn’t have time to be good and perform good works in order to get to Heaven. He doesn’t have time to endure to the end, it is the end, he will die any day now, and can’t get assurance of Heaven with that book.
If he was given the Origin of the Species he would see that he was just an animal with no hope for the future or life after death.
If he is given the Bible he will see that it only takes faith in Jesus, something he can do at that time and have assurance of Heaven. Why would a dying man want any other book?
