You might enjoy this thought: In Ps82 Satan tells God exactly what he thinks about humanity. As I read his accusations I had to admit he was correct about our fallen and sinful nature. But Praise God, He sent a risen Savior to rescue a remanent.
Here is what Satan questioned God about concerning us. Ps 82:2-5 Summerized with my added words in italics.
How long will you *God* judge unjustly and accept the persons of the wicked?
How long will you *God* defend the poor and fatherless, do justice to the afflicted and needy
How long will you *God* deliver the poor and needy:
How long will you *God* rid them out of the hand of the wicked
IOW, Satan complained that God was showing humanity favoritism.
Then Satan goes on to accuse mankind of their guilt. You probably have heard that Satan is known as the great accuser of mankind.
Here are his accusations that humanity needs judgment not favoritism.
Ps82:5They (the persons of the wicked and them who God accepts, defends, delivers, and saves them from their enemies) they know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. (due to them!)
So much truth in that one long statement. For sure the whole earth is out of course due to the curse upon it because of the sin of Adam and his Woman. Sure we deserve judgement and for sure most of us do not understand and are clueless.
But for God providing us a Risen Savior!!! I believe our God is One who keeps promises and I believe Jesus was the manifestation of our Savior. I believe he arose from the dead and ascended into heaven to provide the way for believers to follow him.
Even Ps82:8 proclaims our Savior. Watch:
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth; for thou shalt inherit all nations.
Now Jesus claimed to be God the Father saying ... they are ONE ... and when you have seen me you have seen the Father. Our Lord Jesus was The ONE God who arose from the dead and ascend into heaven and who will judge and inherit the nations one day. He has been given all the authority of God to take up his life again and to judge - which includes judging sin or having mercy, There he is right there in Ps82:8
ARISE O GOD ...
