Jesus NOT Christ

"Will you invite Christ into your life?"

I have witnessed Christians asking complete strangers this question.
They maybe totally clueless about Christ.
It is a misguided approach to evangelism.
It puts the cart before the horse.

Jesus asked his disciples ,'Who do you say I am"? (Mt16:15)
Peter replied ,"You are the Christ, the Son of the living God" (Mt16:16)

So, "What do you say about Jesus"?
This is the divinely revealed approach to evangelism.

Peter spent his full time accompanying and learning about Jesus before his confession.
Peter had heard Jesus preaching.
Peter had seen Jesus miracles.
God the Father enlightened Peter's understanding of the significance of what he had heard, seen
and considered: Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. (Mt16:16)

So, Jesus NOT Christ is the essence of evangelism.
Christ is only a title.
Jesus is the Son of God, the man who embodies all that the title Christ represents.

"The beginning the gospel about Jesus Christ, the Son of God'. (Mk 1:1)
Mark started with Jesus from the beginning.

The correct way to approach non- believers is to present the 'gospel of God's grace" to them.

Agree?

100% agree.
That is exactly what Matthew, Mark, Luke and John did in their gospels.
They recorded the claims of Jesus to be the Christ, the Son of God in his own words and deeds.
Jesus should be the centre and circumference of witnessing to non-believers

So you don't think that atthe present time the best way to approach unbelievers is though the gospel Paul preached to the Gentiles at 1 Corinthians 1:1-4?
