I like your take, but like usual I want to tweak what you wrote by adding a few ideas of my own.Lets see what the bible teaches on that matter-Literal or symbolic?
Deut 32:4-All of Gods ways are justice)= perfect justice as he taught= an eye for an eye--His justice scales are in perfect balance, lets apply those scales to eternal suffering.
On one side=70-100 years of an unrepented life-- A literal eternal suffering = Trillions x trillions x trillions etc of never ending years of punishment to suffer--See 0 balance in that scenario--Thus eternal suffering was symbolism. The true God set before all-LIFE or DEATH( Deut 30:19) both will be eternal. The true God is love, not a sadist who would condemn one to suffer eternally. Only blind guides teach it as literal.
The symbolism is-- As each new day dawns in Gods kingdom those not allowed in miss each day, miss each day of Gods love, it never ends. Likened to be an eternal suffering.
Do you believe the bible or blind guides?
1.) I believe when human's die physically they go one of two places. Now, what one calls them by name may vary; so, I'm going to say they are two 'barns.' That just mean storage places where they wait. We the living wait on earth and the dead wait in their places. All three do wait on a future event. The living suffer here on earth and the dead unaccepted group suffers as they wait in their designated place/realm. But the third group of the dead but 'saved' wait in robes of white as the saints in a kind place. Before Jesus died it was sort of called Abraham's bosom. After Jesus died and rose and went there I guess most people like to use the name 'Heaven' for their realm where they will be in the presence of our Lord Jesus.
Now, all are waiting. Some are suffering as they wait. BUT there will come a day and a place called The Lake of Fire. I happen to consider it to be a place where final ever-lasting death shall come. It is said in scripture that we should fear the one who can so more than kill the body but The ONE who can destroy both body and soul. Well, for humanity I believe this is the place where the cursed elements of man's body will be destroyed and their living created spirit will again belong to God, who is Life and the giver of life. The individuals will no longer exist! No long suffer eternally but will vanish eternally - never to be resurrected to life again.
Now, regarding the angels I hardly know what might be. They may suffer eternally or dissipate as well. Of course these are my thoughts at this time, but I sort of have accepted them... and would welcome any scripture to prove me wrong. I am just a seeker.
