Donald Trump attacked both Ron DeSantis and The Babylon Bee over payments made by the Florida governor to the right-wing satirical news site. Alongside screenshots showing undated payments from DeSantis to the outlet, Trump asked on his Truth Social platform on Thursday night: “Why is Ron DeSanctimonious paying The Babylon Bee, a non-entity, $5,000 a month, so far $21,500, if he’s not running for President?”

That was for the subscription service for his whole administration, no doubt. If you're going to have to deal with fake news, at least get the kind you can trust.

He doesn't need receipts. DeSantis seems to think having Babylon Bee is beneficial. I can see that if he's using it for the NotTheBee service. Where else do you look for news that's too strange NOT to be true.

Why is Trump your standard of good vs evil now???

And I'm sure DeSantis needs his admin to know this:
I came close to posting that a couple times in the last couple days 😂

Trump isn't the standard of anything, now or ever. Trump is just...Trump, which is bad enough.
That's the definition of a standard--something you compare other things to. Many are self-evident: "Murder is just...murder, which is bad." Then you go on to assess whether other things are "murder" or "not murder". Maybe that's why you seem so confused as to what is right vs wrong...you don't understand that standards apply, and if those standards are not from something greater than human opinion, then they are more like clay, able to be pushed and pulled and reshaped into whatever happens to delight the person in charge at the moment, you know...like Biden or Kamela or Fauci or most on the supreme court and in congress these days. Trump dabbled in solid standards, more so than most presidents lately, but he was swayed away from them on way too many occasions. Maybe that's why you don't like him--he actually had some small idea of what standards are.

Standard, definition 2 from Webster's 1828:
2. That which is established by sovereign power as a rule or measure by which others are to be adjusted. Thus the Winchester bushel is the standard of measures in Great Britain, and is adopted in the United States as their standard So of weights and of long measure.
