How apostles fell to Pride-Devil’s trap as in Ananias and Safira tragedy.
We see in the Acts they were killed for their lying. It destroyed the early commune of the church, the best example of Christian principles at action. Would Christ have done it? Never! He had forgiven much grievous sins and never condemned like that way. God certainly could replenish what was lost by their action – money and faith. Every lie is a lie to Holy Spirit but Heavenly Father never kills for that. Still now from the early church thousands and thousands of Christian workers is doing it all over the world and living too. A few of them are obviously forgiven as they repented and atoned.
But the fact is that Satan, the pride, was lurking in the hearts of apostles as usual in whole humanity. He knew their weak points-a temptation to glorify themselves by striking terror- a most unchristian action. So he struck Ananias and Safira dead and Peter was fooled to think it as Heavenly Father ordained action- a most false and pernicious idea! Christ had cancelled revengeful brutal Jehovah whom he called devil (Jn8-44). He forgave even his killers and said that Father is better than him in love-scale. Rather Peter should have prayed to God for making them alive and forgiving them. It would have been the most appropriate Christian action. He had done it many times. But he did not now, to let Satan’s work prevail!
Apostles were people like us. They failed often and were rebuked. Certainly Christ rebuked them in private for this unforgiving attitude and other failures.
In this way Satan struck at the early church from inside. From then on countless saints and evangelists had fallen and still falling in his traps and came to harm themselves and harmed the church. Though Christ heals those harms in time, it would be better if harm was avoided in the first place.

There was no pride on Peter's part. The Holy Spirit revealed this lie to Peter. A man and wife who were claiming to be a part of the church while defrauding it of money. It was God separating the wheat from the chaff. God giveth and He taketh away....no one has the power of life and death but the Creator.

Who trapped them?

Every lie is a lie to Holy Spirit but Heavenly Father never kills for that.

So what He kills for?

But the fact is that Satan, the pride, was lurking in the hearts of apostles as usual in whole humanity.

i like this one.

He knew their weak points...

You mean their pride.

:thumb:

So he struck Ananias and Safira dead and Peter was fooled to think it as Heavenly Father ordained action- a most false and pernicious idea!

And you think that Peter lied.

Hmmmm!!!!!

You don't agree with God, do you stephen?

Deu 32:39... I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

Christ had cancelled revengeful brutal Jehovah whom he called devil (Jn8-44).

What?????

...let Satan’s work prevail!

...Satan struck...

Who is this Satan???

You've missed the heart of God my friend.
We have to glorify heavenly Father before men by making Him acceptable in this atheist and agnostic milieu. The monstrous God, who according to predestination doctrine whimsically creates a few for heaven and the majority for eternal torment, will be rejected by the majority. Shall you elect such one to the legislature?
If we preach a God of absolute love as Christ exemplified on cross, we glorify Him to most acceptable. Only then we are his followers.
Then we must identify Ananias killer god as devil.

Uh...yeah. Wow.

You blaspheme. And pretty darned strongly at that.

As Christ blasphemed and was crucified for that!! His offense is that he expounded the Highest as self-sacrificing Father not as a despot murderous king(Jehovah). That blasphemy we must always do to be worthy of Christ

Who is this Satan???[/QUOTE]

Satan is the spirit of pride-selfishness and heavenly Father is humility and love-sacrifice, presented by Christ. He called Jehovah devil in John8-44 as he is a murderer from beginning.
A father by definition can’t kill children. If he kills children he is no longer a father but devil the killer. When we reject Father to accept Devil as God, like Adam, we are killed by devil ultimately.
Self-contradictory bible was created by the Catholics to support their war-collaboration with the rulers.
We have to follow living Christ’s cross message of absolute love to be saved.
