Recently read about Aloe Vera Gel helping with itchy scalp so we tried it and it works.

Get the non-alcohol based and use as a hair gel as well. Dries crunchy and can be combed out.

Aloe has a ton of other uses and a large bottle is under $10.

Plop a couple of Efferedent, or a lower price brand, into the toilet for a fresh, mint smell and color.

If you already have a green toilet bowl like ours, from the 70's, then the bowl will be a beautiful jade.

Some homes have cute little soap dishes in their bathrooms. We have a basket of denture discs for guests to throw in at their pleasure.

We used to hassle with a ladder and use glass cleaner for washing windows.

Now, we spray the windows with a hose and dry them with an old towel draped over a push broom.

Warning, kids under the age of 10 will want to do this indoors as well.

We get fruit flies this time of year.

An effective remedy is to place a tablespoon or so of apple cider vinegar in a bowl with a couple of drops of dish soap.

Give it a good whirl so you gets suds.

Place near sink or fruit bowl.

The flies are drawn to the vinegar and get caught in the soap.
