Here's Why the Domocrats are Really Against Kavanaugh

The Republicans want to drain the swamp by limiting term limits for those serving in the Congress. However, the liberals in the Supreme Court ruled previously that the individual states cannot set terms limits:

"U.S. Term Limits, Inc. v. Thornton," 514 U.S. 779 (1995), was a case in which the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that states cannot impose qualifications for prospective members of the U.S. Congress stricter than those specified in the Constitution.

Kennedy joined with the majority, and also authored a concurrence. The four justices who signed on to Justice Clarence Thomas’ dissent, including Sandra Day O’Connor, argued that nothing in the Constitution deprived state legislatures of setting term limits or other eligibility requirements. If this ruling were overturned, the individual states would then be given the power to assign eligibility requirements for congressional candidates.

The USA needs to get this ruling overturned so the swamp can begin to be drained and with a Kavanaugh appointment it will get done!

Since the Democrats are swamp creatures they are horrified that this might actually happen! So they are sinking to new lows in an effort to deny Kavanaugh the nomination.

It is not going to work and it is going to end up being very costly to the swamp creatures and the rest of the Democrats in the midterms.

Decided on a 5-4 vote. 3 of the 5 majority were appointed by Republican presidents.

Term limits would help Kavanaugh? What would you like to see the term limit be?

Do you also not think that Christine Blasey Ford should be heard from first? Why do you feel this nomination should be rushed?

I didn't say that term limits would help Cavanaugh. On the other hand, it will greatly help draining the swamp. The individual states will decide what the term limit should be.

Do you also not think that Christine Blasey Ford should be heard from first? Why do you feel this nomination should be rushed?

Rushed?

It is not being rushed. If Cavanaugh committed any crime it should have been reported to local authorities when it happened--not decades later. What the Dems are doing is the same thing which they did to Justice Thomas and it amounts to nothing less than a public lynching!

But what else would anyone expect from the Party of Lawlessness?

So the swamp, by which you must mean the Democrats, are against Kavanaugh because he will favor term limits. But the Republicans are in favor of term limits? Hmmm,McConnell, Hatch etc. are in favor of term limits. Who knew?

I know that you are barely able to understand these political things but it is the Republicans who are supporting a Supreme Court nominee who might just be instrumental in allowing states to set term limits.

The Dems are against him, in case you haven't noticed.

No, the Republicans are supporting him because he has the blessing of the Federalist Society. Takes little thought for the right wing to follow the dictates of that group

But for the record, can you cite any recent statements by Republicans supporting term limits?

The Republicans are supporting him because he will not legislate from the bench.

Donald Trump on April 30, 2018.:

I recently had a terrific meeting with a bipartisan group of freshman lawmakers who feel very strongly in favor of Congressional term limits. I gave them my full support and endorsement for their efforts. #DrainTheSwamp

Now do us a favor and quote any recent statement by a leading Democrat supporting term limits.
