When I think of the word heaven, in relation to where a person might go when they die or when God judges them (after they die or rapture when they are changed though they did not "sleep"), I think that there is a verse maybe in Corinthians but most definitely in John.

Does anyone know what I am talking about?

I know about the resurrection of the dead. I don't know what to make of the new heaven and the new earth.

I believe in the reality of hell or the lake of fire.

HEAVEN = AIR OR SPACE
JOHN WENT TO THE NEW JERUSALEM IN SPACE WHERE GOD'S THRONE IS.
LAKE OF FIRE = GARBAGE DUMP IN ARABIA WHERE THE OIL IS USED FOR FIRE.
---------------------------
When person dies , the spirit goes back to GOD and is Stored in a Spiritual Computer awaiting a new body.
-----------------------------------
Rapture - Rapture will probably occur March 31, 2021 for the Philadelphian Church according to Rev 12 just before Satan is thrown down. The Laodician Church gets raptured 6 months later.
------------------------
John 14:2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so,
I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again,
and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
-------------------------
Revelation 12:6 And the woman fled into the UNOCCUPIED PLACE PREPARED BY God/JESUS, that they should PREPARE her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

I don't think so OCTOBER23. Your views are out there... off the wall. I don't think any of what you have said is factual or truth. You are taking away from the purpose and intent of the thread.

Scripture defines heaven for us.

And God called the firmament Heaven. (Genesis 1:8)

Jesus ascended into heaven and a cloud hid him from view.

And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up and a cloud received him out of their sight. (Acts 1:9)

John 14:2 NASB - "In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.

John 14:3 NASB - "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

When Jesus comes again where will he be?
Are you talking about this verse of something else?

1 Thessalonians 4:17 NASB - Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

Will everyone stay in the air?
What did John 14:3 say?

Will any of us go to heaven? If so, when?

The verse we just looked at in Thessalonians says, "we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord."

Define what you mean by heaven. I've given you God's definition.
I didn't mean air, but maybe you did. I also didn't mean space. Heaven is the abode of God. God created the heavens and the earth. There is an expanse; there is a firmament.

Then 2 Peter 3:12 NASB.

I don't know where Revelation 3:21 NASB fits in, or where God's throne is. Many verses say Jesus is at the right hand of God.

He ascended into heaven, where He sits at the right hand of God.

Then maybe a discussion of Matthew 24:30 NASB or Matthew 26:64 NASB.

Then, what about this last verse in light of Matthew 23:39 NASB, Matthew 26:29 NASB, Luke 22:18 NASB, Luke 22:69 NASB, and when the kingdom of God is. See also Romans 14:17 NASB. And, Matthew 21:9 NASB, Mark 11:9 NASB, and Luke 13:35 NASB.

See also 1 John 5:4 NASB and maybe Revelation 12:11 NASB.

Why doesn't God dwell in his temple?
We are the temple of the living God, so in this sense God does dwell in His temple. God chose to remove His presence or Spirit from the temple at a time in the past. Now there is no temple.

You contradict your self.
No, I did not. There are different temples. Those who have the Spirit of God dwelling in them are a temple of the living God. But the temple that was in Jerusalem was destroyed. Also, Jesus died and when He spoke of the temple one time He was speaking of Himself.

But the temple that was in Jerusalem was destroyed.

Oh no, when did this happen?

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone in whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord in whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. (Ephesians 2:20-22)

THIS HEAVEN AND THIS EARTH WILL BE DESTROYED
2 Pet 3:5-7
5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water,
6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water.
7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
(NKJ)
2 Pet 3:9-18
9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;
15 and account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation-- as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you,
16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.
17 You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;
18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
Rev 21:1-2
1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.
2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

NEW JERUSALEM
John 14:2-3
2 "In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
Heb 11:16
16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.
Rev 3:11-13
11 "Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.
12 "He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. And I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
13 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."'
Rev 21:1-22:9
1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.
2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.
4 "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."
6 And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
7 "He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
8 "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
9 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, "Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife."
10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.
12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.
14 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.
16 The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal.
17 Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.
18 The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.
19 The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.
21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.
22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.
24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.
25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there).
26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.
27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
CHAPTER 22
1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.
4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.
5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.
6 Then he said to me, "These words are faithful and true." And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place.
7 "Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."
8 Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things.
9 Then he said to me, "See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."
(NKJ)
Eph 3:20-21
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
(KJV)
Heb 12:22-24
22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels,
23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.
