Democrat demonstrates how masks don't work.

Yeah, there are so many instances of Democrats saying these rules are for you, not for me. Newsom is another one of these complete hypocrites. He doesn't come close to keeping his own rules. Neither does Lightfoot out of Chicago or Cuomo out of New York. He wants to go to the Bill's playoff game and loves to dine out.

I've done this! Who wants to continue to wear a mask that's been sneezed in. Same with face shields. Once you sneeze into it, you can't see out of it anymore--yuck!

But since they don't really do any good anyway, may as well sneeze into your hand and wash your hand, just like we supposedly used to do. And keep wearing the mask as a symbol of submission to an ignorant master.

After he sneezed into his hand he proceeded to use that hand to hold the shoulder of another lawmaker . . .

Technically, you're suppose to carry extra masks and sneeze into your arm. One of my points about mask mandates is that no one actually follows the stringent rules necessary for masks to work, so the mandate is silly.

At least if you're wearing a mask and you happen to sneeze into it you're still reducing the transmission of particles to others, had you not being. I'm not suggesting that masks are some magical barrier to infection, because they aren't. But it's still better than not wearing one and the protestations are feeble. What does it actually cost you?

I got fired from my job of 25 years for saying I wouldn't be able to follow the covid mask silliness perfectly.

After 25 years of service? What are your reasons for not following mask wearing protocols?
They had us "certify" that we would follow the protocols. I asked what might happen if the mask slipped under my nose. They said it was unacceptable, and I said I couldn't certify that I would be able to perfectly follow their protocols.

In that case you have more than grounds for appeal because that is ridiculous as well as absurd. Masks are bound to slip.

There were other issues, too. We had to certify that we would watch other employees social media and report them for "offensive" or "harassing" posts. I decided it might be a good time to leave.
I'm surprised they let you leave and didn't ship you off to the gulag

Well if that's the case you're better off out of there. That is pathetic.

What this nation needs is millions of more Derfs. That kind of integrity and respect for his fellow man is a must to win this battle. A half-hearted response to threats and intimidation will only cause the US to no longer exist.

If I could give you more than a like, I would. What you did is exactly what this country needs in it's response to socialism. People need to stop turning on their fellow man and reporting them. That is nazism and communism at their worst. It's what the left always pushes. A nation of narks and tattletales is the socialist/nazi/communist dream world.

And that is exactly what the left in this country, and in yours, is pushing. Turn in anyone you see who might be breaking a rule. They are calling for "reeducation camps" for anyone who doesn't conform.
