The NT does not have a bunch of meanings to 'sacrifice' when speaking of Christ's sacrifice for us. It paid the debt of sin. No one knows the workings of the perverted person dealt with in I Cor 5, but when Paul was finished, he reminded all of them that the leaven needed to be cleaned out of us because of the sacrifice of Christ. Christan behavior is anchored in honoring that.
Beware of sects and divisive people who think there is some other meaning of 'sacrifice' that misses this. Makes you wonder if they were in with guess who.
