As a child of the post-war British decline, John Cleese made his career as a subversive leftist. He has become a 1%-er as a result; so much so that he could afford to relocate to the U.S. to avoid onerous British tax rates.

In his comfortable decline he is now far enough removed to admit, in a minced, oblique fashion, what his own leftist comrades have wrought upon England.

Cleese fled to Monaco in 2012 to avoid a large divorce settlement, but returned to London (Chelsea) last year dissatisfied with the principality. Last I heard he was looking for a house in Bath, near where he grew up.

I can't follow the link on my phone, but I gave up listening to that bitter old man years ago - he became a quite unpleasant fellow. I couldn't care less what he thinks - someone who can up-sticks to Monaco, or indeed someone who has enough wealth to be admitted there. He is a miserable old git.
