Biden Lies Again, and Again

Biden accused the Republicans of packing the Supreme Court:

"Democratic nominee Joe Biden on Saturday sought to shift the conversation away from his repeated refusal to say whether he would support adding seats to the Supreme Court, asserting that it is Republicans who are packing the court in their efforts to install a new justice ahead of the election."

In order to pack the Supreme Court it is absolutely necessary to add at least one more seat on it. The Republicans have done no such thing and are not planning to add a tenth justice. That is a big fat lie and Biden knows it is a lie. Then he lies again by saying that what the Republicans are doing now in nominating Judge Barrett is unconstitutional:

“Look, the only court packing is going on right now. It’s going on with the Republicans packing the court now,” Biden argued to reporters as he departed for Erie, Pa., claiming that “it’s not constitutional what they’re doing.”

Nothing the Republicans are doing now in nominating Judge Barrett violates the Constitution in anyway whatsoever. And Biden knows that they are not violating the Constitution. But he lies because it suits his purposes.

Besides that, he says that voters do not have the right to know how he stands on packing the court. His refusal to answer tells us all we know about what he will do if he gets elected--he will pack the court.

And that will be the first step to the destruction of the USA!

I'm kind of curious what would happen if the democrats attempted to enlarge the Supreme Court. Obviously that law passed in Congress would be challenged and obviously it would be challenged all the way up to the Supreme Court. How would the Supreme Court rule on a law intended to dilute their power?

Nothing McConnell did in refusing to bring Obama's nomination up for a vote, violates the Constitution in any way whatsoever.

Adding one or more new justices to the court does not violate Constitution in any way whatever.

It was just not done. And then the republicans decided that if they could get away with it, that was good enough. And now, contemplating defeat at the polls, they are frantic with fear that the democrats will do the same things. And they have no one to blame but themselves.

You can only pray that the democrats will be better Americans than the republicans have been. And maybe they won't. But you have no one to blame but yourself, Jerry.

The Constitution sets up the Supreme Court but not the # of justices. That is done by law by Congress. So not sure the existing Court would have anything to complain about.

Are you this uninformed?

Republicans are filling a vacancy on the Supreme Court. That is not the same as adding a seat to the nine.

So the Republicans are not trying to get away with anything.

And you are silent about the two lies which Biden told on this subject. That doesn't bother you at all because the Monkeys "See No Evil and Hear No Evil."

Before she passed away Ruth Bader Ginsburg said the following:

"Nine seems to be a good number. It's been that way for a long time," Ginsburg told NPR in July 2019. "I think it was a bad idea when President Franklin Roosevelt tried to pack the court."

Joe Biden himself said years earlier that FDR was a bonehead for trying to pack the Supreme Court.

But now it is OK because the Democrat Party is being ruled by the radical left who hate the USA and want to tear it down and start over after the model of Venezuela!

right, and when Congress passes a controversial law, it's challenged in court

So not sure the existing Court would have anything to complain about.

Not sure they'd even be able to hear the case

Nor is refusing to hold hearings for a president's nominee. These things are not illegal; they just were considered unreasonably partisan. Then the republicans decided that if they could get away with it, that would be good enough. That's the new standard. Now, you're fearful that the democrats will be no better than the republicans.

And maybe they won't be. You have no one to blame but yourself.

Both parties have filled vacancies during election years. It's nothing new. Heck, there's instances of vacancies being filled in lame duck sessions.

So the Republicans are not trying to get away with anything.

what the Republicans controlling Congress in 2016 told bammy was simply, we won't confirm anyone you nominate, so don't waste your time.

this too is nothing new
