I have been trying to post a new thread in politics and religion all day today without any success! I have tried multiple titles.

Have you tried using a different thread title?

Is there any punctuation in the title you're trying to use?

OK, I just successfully posted a thread in '...and the rest' about a simple topic.

Then, right after, I went to 'politics' and tried to post the important thread, with a new title, with no punctuation and it still failed!!!!

There is a strange problem that seems to cause folks to have a hard time posting threads sometimes. I have yet to figure out what causes it. And it seems to be very rare.

The only cure (assuming this is the same problem) is to pick a new title for the thread and try again.

Try calling it "test" and make the body of the post "test" Then edit the post and paste in your real OP and title.

strange, it let me post a 'test' thread, but not the real thread!

is it based on some kind of text in the thread?

I wish I knew what was happening but I don't.

It seems to be a rare and random problem.
