Yes, he knows that the sacrifice for sins, and the blotting out (taking away) of sins are two different events...as signified by the two goats.
He knows that Acts 3 and Col 2 do not mesh.
That "them that look for him," according to Craigie, to make his "man made" "theory," Invention," work, was the Roman army in AD 70.
