This isn't the real problem. Teachers, by the fact of what they do, have many more hours in the day to influence a child's thinking patterns, and in many instances, more influence than a parent has even when the parents are paying close attention to what the child is being taught. That leads to the issue of a Christian's children being influenced more by the corrupt school system they send them to than by the kid's own parents.
Think about how hostile public education is to Biblical teachings, and the kids are having this shoved down their throats in a deceptive fashion every day at school. It affects them intellectually and emotionally. The emotional manipulation is even more dangerous than the intellectual manipulation because emotions are often more influential than intellectual manipulation as emotions run many people's thinking. The socialists here as prime evidence.

No. Parents are still the primary influencer of children - either by being there or not being there. A teacher has their time divided among multiple children - in large districts 25 or more. Teachers still call the parent for help because parents do have more control over the behavior of children than you think.
It depends on the school district. If a society is hostile to biblical teachings, why would the schools be different?
As I said before, the parents need to take responsibility for their children and teach responsibility to their children. The parents need to take responsibility for raising their children in an environment which in reality if not on the face is hostile to God. In fact, it is expected by God - Malachi 2:15.
I think people become socialist for entirely different reasons. Many are duped into believing the government is good. They say the pledges every day, their parents tell them how great certain policemen are, they are encouraged to join the military and "fight for their country", they are told they are able to worship God because of how great the government is, etc. They have a little medical problem, lose their job, or "fail" in life and now they get sucked into the socialist trap.
Other socialists are just pure evil. There are a number of those. Some people want to spread misery. Just look at the posts from the leftists here. None of them care about helping or improving the lives of others. They only seek to tear down and destroy "the enemy". Not one thread by a leftist describing how they thought the election of Biden would improve the lives of Americans - not one. Hey, I couldn't even find a post. There are a lot more evil people out there than you might think.
But there are also the same on the "right". Some of them stick to a political ideology regardless of what harm it would cause. Trump made a lot of enemies on the right for doing such things as not getting us into another war, clamping down on China, asking NATO to pay its fair share, clamping down on illegal immigration, etc.

I think you're laboring under the assumption that anyone left of center here thinks a defense of Biden would bring a reasonable response from anyone on the right. There is no meeting across the chasm, it's too late.
Only if the parents decide to take a back-seat which is not uncommon.

I mean old enough to be around their peers for a good portion of the day. As in, grade school and above.
And no, parents often think they do, but they don't. Unless they're over-controlling authoritarians who don't let their children out of their sight.

Most parents disappear after elementary school. This is why you think they have no influence - because most parents give up their influence. Just look at PTA/PTO attendance. It speaks volumes about most parents - they don't have follow-through.

I didn't say no influence, of course parents have influence. But I think many of them overestimate their influence as their children grow older, spend more time at school, at sports, on outings with friends. And oftentimes, they're surprised.
