Hello Chair.......
30 million+ (1st) vaccinations have brought us to this point, together with general support for lockdowns, masks, social distancing, hand cleansing and so forth.

It was reported yesterday that testing for everybody on a weekly basis will be available within a few days, all around the country, and 2nd vaccination progress is stepping up now.

If we're really careful we might just creep slowly out of this pandemic now. The general opinion here is that we just separated ourselves from Europe in time, because we signed deals and extended payments with vaccine providers earlier than Europe did. From being the worst hit country we might just become an early convalescent..... maybe. :)

Even better......!

All our poultry and fowl have been in lock-in since October last year because of Avian Flu.

Defra has just lifted this order and our ducks can go back out in the garden. :)

It never lost its senses. It sensibly got enough of the population vaccinated that it is safe to open businesses.

Yep. Vaccination for over 50s and high risk folks has worked for us, and still we are only opening back up very cautiously.
And it's been a strong Conservative government that has led us through this from the start, and supported by the left-wing opposition for most of the way.

And now we all need to receive the 2nd jab as well.

I don't know which state you're in, but most of the U.S. has been more open in March 2020 than England's going to be for quite some time.

Numbers of covid deaths were clearly diminishing before the vaccine was rolled out. Now the numbers of people dying from the vaccine are increasing at an alarming rate.

Basically, you are saying that every election in Michigan is fraudulent and fake.

It's really not worth my arguing this with you, but I'd like to introduce a concept embraced by the founding fathers of our country.

Do you know of the concept "consent of the ruled"?

Not really a doctrine but more of a concept or idea. Since it was the basis for the founding of the U.S., it's always funny to see people oppose it.

I find it even more interesting that those who are open theists oppose the idea. Yet, I wonder if you actually understand what the idea is. I'll give @marke a chance to answer before I explain.

Though, to be honest, in today's vernacular and in this instance they mean the same.

Governed -

Ruled -

1. to exercise authority or power over

They share the same exact definition.

Maybe you are thinking of

Governed -

3. to look after and make decisions about

I say that this definition is not what is meant by governed in "consent of the governed".
