Let me tell you about what happened when God wanted Ahab to be deceived so he would go into battle and be killed. God allowed Micaiah the prophet to tell Ahab a lie because that is all Ahab wanted to hear. Micaiah said to Ahab, "Go ye up, and prosper, and they shall be delivered into your hand." Ironically, Ahab instinctively knew that was a lie so he asked him again to tell him the real truth from heaven, so Micaiah told him.
