The generations of Adam would lead to Jesus.

There was only one generation of Abel because he never had any children.

Cain was eliminated because of sin.

Seth, in effect, was the first son of Adam.

Hi and the reason , I feel CAIN is not mentioned is this !!

Cain did not believe Christ !!

This means , " NO FAITH ."

Brought the wrong sacrifice , the WORK of his hands !!

It is a picture of people today NO FAITH and all they bring to Christ is WORKS !!

It reminds me of James , FAITH without WORKS IS DEAD !!

Under Grace it is all FAITH , Eph 2:8 !

The works today is I have been BAPTIZED !!

My parents were Christians , so I must be a christian too !!

I have gone to the same church for 60 years , I have to be a christian , ETC , ETC !!

The Hebrew word nahash is used to identify the serpent that appears in Genesis 3:1, in the Garden of Eden. In Genesis, the serpent is portrayed as a deceptive creature or trickster, who promotes as good what God had forbidden, and shows particular cunning in its deception.

Mat 13:37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
Mat 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
Mat 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil;

Mat 23:29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
Mat 23:30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
Mat 23:31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
Mat 23:32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
Mat 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
Mat 23:34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
Mat 23:35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

1Jn 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother.
We see in the above scripture that Cain was son of the wicked one (devil, serpent, Satan)
2Co_11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Rev_12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
