Trump, who claimed that Conor Lamb was a tool of Nancy Pelosi, is now claiming that Lamb is a republican.

Trump falsely claimed that Lamb supported his tax bill and repeal of Obamacare, after his guy lost. Before he lost, he claimed Lamb was a radical liberal.

Even his supporters don't believe anything he says, now.

"Their spin was very well rehearsed."

In a year when a record number of republican house members, including influential committee chairmen, are bailing out, this embarrassment is likely to make things even worse.

House Republicans are announcing they're leaving office at a significantly faster rate than any other recent Congresses, suggesting Democrats could pick up seats in the 2018 midterm elections. On Wednesday, it was South Carolina Republican Trey Gowdy, the influential chairman of the House Oversight Committee.
Already, at least 38 House Republicans have announced they are retiring, running for another office or resigning outright. They're leaving from all over the map, from southern New Jersey to southern New Mexico.
Democrats need to pick up 24 House seats to retake the majority from Republicans, who've had control of the House since 2011.
Republican leadership has acknowledged it has a problem.

"We've got to find better ways to empower people where they feel like this is worth their time," Rep. Pete Sessions of Texas, a former two-term National Republican Congressional Committee chair who met with several members to discuss retirements, told the National Journal in September.
But more retirements came shortly after -- and then more after that.

This should trigger another wave of moderate Republicans politicians deciding not to run in the 2018 Interims - who wants to incur the hostility of the American voter defending the words/actions of a President with whom you don't agree?

IF they truly did not agree, they would have done the right thing and stood up against him. Whatever rejection that is coming towards their party is ... deserved.

Dear God how desperate and frightened you trolls sound.

1. The margin between the votes was hair-thin. 49.8 to 49.5 is not a landslide.

2. Trump didn't run in this race. Wasn't "his" loss because...

3. ...when Republicans smashed the Left in 2010 by a much bigger margin, every mainstream outlet pretended to be outraged that it said anything about Obama. If 2010 said nothing about Obama, this order-of-magnitude smaller victory says nothing about Trump.

4. The Democrat reportedly ran sounding not entirely unlike Trump.

5. None of you have the slightest integrity, honor or honesty.

Funny on how people never recognize that in themselves, isn't it? :)

It's a devastating embarrassment for the republicans. This Gerrymandered district went republican by 20 points, last election. Trump put his own credibility on the line, parachuting in to save the GOP candidate, and losing.

2. Trump didn't run in this race. Wasn't "his" loss

It was his guy, as Roy Moore was his guy. He put his credibility on the line campaigning for these guys, and the voters rejected him.

3. If 2010 said nothing about Obama,

It did. The public at the time did not approve of Obamacare, as they do now.

4. The Democrat reportedly ran sounding not entirely unlike Trump.

Let's see..
Lamb: Marine captain, volunteered to serve.
Trump: Draft dodger "Oh, I have a bone spur! The pain, the pain! I can't serve! Oh, wait, my draft exposure is over? it's a miracle! I'm healed!"

Lamb: Supports Obamacare
Trump: Failed repeatedly to repeal Obamacare

Lamb: Opposes tax bill
Trump: Gave himself a huge tax cut at the expense of the middle class

Lamb: Patriot
Trump: Favors Russians over Americans

Lamb: Unmarried
Trump: Serial adulterer, cheating on three wives in sequence.

Lamb: Never accused of abusing women
Trump: Brags about getting away with sexual assault.

Lamb: Pays his bills.
Trump: Repeatedly fails to pay money he owes, abusing bankruptcy laws.

Lamb: Conducts himself honestly.
Trump: Forced to pay millions of dollars to settle fraud charges against him.

Doesn't seem much like Trump at all, does he?

But you and Trump have something in common. Neither of you have the slightest integrity, honor or honesty.

Is Roy "Cowboy" Moore still going on about polygraphs or has he decided to get some horse riding lessons instead?
