  • Nominate posts for 2016

Posts of the Year for 2016 should be nominated through this system — it makes collating them a much simpler task.

What you need is the nominee's URL post number (not the thread post number). To find the URL post number, click on the top right of the post as indicated by the red circle in the following image:
    Spoiler

That is the thread post number. It is useful only for making my explanation of the URL post number more confusing.

Once you have clicked on that, what you need is the URL post number which is a seven-digit number greater than 4571666 (unless it was chrysostom's post, the first of the year, that you were looking to nominate ).

The URL post number is circled in red in the image below:
    Spoiler

Or forget everything I just said and find the number by hitting the quote button on the post you like and find the number after the semicolon in the BBCode of the post's text in your composition box.
    Spoiler

Once you have all that, click on this link and enter your TOL username, the URL post number and the name of the TOL user you are nominating.

As nominations come in they will be posted to this thread. And, if you didn't notice, this thread is sticky in the "And the rest" forum.

Nominations will be accepted that are made through the system described above for a post dated this year as long as the nomination is made before Jan. 1, 2017, 10am EST.

All nominations will be listed in this thread toward the end of the year — perhaps a week out — with 10 surviving a culling process to be considered for the top three of the year. A poll will be started on this thread to select the user-selected POTY.

Though I'm grateful to PJ for recommending my post for award, I do not feel that my post qualifies since it was a quote/copy and paste from "The Complete Word Study Dictionary". If anything, the award should go to Spiros Zodhiates.

          Thanks, anyway!
Jer 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD[YHVH], that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
Jer 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he[the Branch] shall be called, THE LORD[YHVH] OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

              Mine, too.

              It was just a prayer.

              But THANK YOU!

Couldn't find an animated one smaller than yours.
But I'll throw in this one.
