Thanks, that's very kind of you, but the past tense is duly noted. You should start a club for people who used to like me, I know someone who'd join for sure. Actually, more than one.

So please let me say now that you kinda just agreed that Chrys and TH are alike in many things even some that TH may accuse Chrys of.

        Peace.
Again, I'm sorry to dash your hopes, but I didn't write such a sentence. TH doesn't prop up trolls with rep, the way chrys has.

Tried and waited then got tired, that's about it

I'll come back to this in a moment.

No - you are not on ignore - and I told you when you were and I told you when you were not.
I don't keep up. Who knows when or why you do that sort of thing.

And you have been either mad at me or uninterested in my posts anyway. What can we say? It is your right.
As a rule, if you can look at something someone else writes and your reaction is, "He's either mad or uninterested" you might be reading in a bit.

I wish you would not get so angry with Chrys
I'm not angry with him. I don't like him. I don't hate him. I just don't approve of his methodology. There, I've covered the emotional bases.

and that you and Res would not get so desperately in a life and death like struggle of fighting with each other.
For the most part my "fighting" with Res was nothing more or less than a defensive effort to keep he and your pal chrys (and various others, from time to time) from unmerited character assassination on the boards, though these days it also involves defending others against the same sort of treatment.

I also wish there was year of Jubilee and forgiveness for you and SD.
So if you are making out Christmas lists..
There are times when SD will do/write something and I'll smile for a second. She can evidence a sense of humor at her own expense now and then that I find endearing. But she also misrepresents and defames people without evidence and that's unconscionable, to my mind. So I give her the blazes when she's up to that.

          But I don't dislike her.

Oh Town. Too many words, too many protests, and worst of all too much thought.
And there you've summed, by inference, my problem with you. Too little consideration summed too thinly.

But I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't by those with the inclination. If I make a single, brief point to a single, brief point I'm parsing. If I set out something more in depth it's too much.

Either you know him too well or you are naming things you dislike and think are in him. Ever heard we dislike things in others that we wrestle with in ourselves?
Sure I have. That's why I frequently use actual quotes by others when challenging on a particular (even though some might make fun of that, if you can imagine) and make arguments on points with rational explanations.

Because otherwise the first time you call someone for lying about you they can simply respond, "Maybe you don't care for it because you lie about other people."

          And that's horsefeathers, isn't it.

          You should be happy here.
I mostly am. I have met and made friends I value and many others who, while we aren't exactly friends I find admirable on one or a number of points and whose voices I consider, our distance notwithstanding.

          What would that take?
Maybe you're the one who's unhappy and projecting? See what I mean about that sort of simple principle. There you go.
You aren't what you eat, but you're always what you swallow.

Not a shred. If he did he'd have set the alteration in bold and noted it in his larger response. That's the convention and a good one, separating satire from dishonesty.

              • the barbarian says he is pro life
                and
does not vote republican or democratic
                but
                will write somebodies name in
he is always trying to make the republicans look bad
                but
you never really catch him saying bad things about the democrats

                this is a classic shill
                he supports the democratic party
                but
he cannot do it openly because of their support for abortion
                so
he just tries to make the republicans look bad
                so
                you don't vote for them
                and
this is all he really has to do because republicans are the only ones who can beat the democrats

there are many others like him here at tol
                but
the barbarian is the best at what he does
