Why "Conversion Therapy" Should Be Illegal

Do you know what the term "good faith" means? It has nothing to do with religious affiliation.

good faith
noun

  • honesty or sincerity of intention.
"the details contained in this brochure have been published in good faith"

Well, if it has nothing to do with religious affiliation then you've had my answer a number of times now, and in good faith.

:)

... If you really have no objective standard of truth or higher authority and simply decide for yourself what you want to believe...

bingo!

he isn't an atheist but he won't tell you what he believes

but he's perfectly happy to mock your beliefs

that seems an awful lot like trolling :idunno:

You've been here nine years and coming up on 15,000 posts here soon... and you're afraid to say what you really think? No, it's not that, is it? You're just evading when your answers might be needed to try to reach a resolution or at least a better understanding. Arthur, I really had better expectations...

So when I admit that I have the capacity to choose to become a mass murderer (but I will not kill) this is funny to you?

Racists try to associate blacks and murderers all the time.

the rantings of racists are indistinguishable from the rantings of homophobes

Look dude, I've told you already, I'm not an atheist, I believe there's a God. I don't ascribe to any belief system or denomination and labels mean absolutely nothing to me. If that defines me as non Christian in your view then fine with me and if this still doesn't meet your expectations then I'll live with it.

Sounds like one of growing trends in Christianity, those who believe in God but do not believe in the Church or organized religion.

well, not really

not since 1534

and they don't really even pretend anymore, not since they turned socialist after ww2 :idunno:

None of which precludes there being British people who believe in God but are not religious. The country is hardly a homogenous mass who all think the same. I suspect the other group in the US that is growing even faster, those who have claimed no religious belief at all is occurring there as well.

Like anywhere else it's a diverse mix.
