I have read what other people say and quote, but I am mostly self-taught. I have grown up in church as a Christian been to Bible School and converted to Judaism while remaining a Christian.

Since you say that you have read the Bible I am curious and want to know if this means you understood what you read. Do you know God and Jesus Christ His Son? Are you born again? Are you saved?

From the other posts I guess it's about Jesus and abolishing the law. Or the poster cherry picked it out of the lists that interest that user the most. Perhaps they are in most interested in the law and telling others to follow the law. Idk.

For me Jesus said he came to fulfill the law. I believe he fulfilled the requirements of the law in us through his deeds. I believe the reward of following the law is death. And the reward for following Jesus who fulfilled the law perfectly is life. The reason why I say it's death is because I am a lawbreaker.

xxx Jesus wants everyone who is going to be a christian to understand that the new covenant(testament) is just that new. That you cant go back and keep any part of the old testament that Jesus hasnt brought over to the new testament. Jesus new what to bring over man doesnt. But the old testament has to be obsolete to you in order for you to get the fullness of the new testament. 11John 1-9 is very specific if you dont abide(live) in the new testament you dont have the real God. There IS a veil over the old testament that remains to THIS day.
If Jesus were in the old testament this verse could only be meant for God and the angels. But Jesus wasnt in the old testament.

xxx Jesus wants everyone who is going to be a christian to understand that the new covenant(testament) is just that new. That you cant go back and keep any part of the old testament that Jesus hasnt brought over to the new testament. Jesus new what to bring over man doesnt. But the old testament has to be obsolete to you in order for you to get the fullness of the new testament. 11John 1-9 is very specific if you dont abide(live) in the new testament you dont have the real God. There IS a veil over the old testament that remains to THIS day.
If Jesus were in the old testament this verse could only be meant for God and the angels. But Jesus wasnt in the old testament.

Do I know God and Jesus? Yes! I have faith in both 110%. Actually I believe my faith is one of my strong points. I can say I certainly have no doubts in my heart! I am born again - however I believed in God fruitlessly most of my life until I learned the truth. Prior to that time I had sin in my heart. After I repented and believed properly I was given the holy spirit that same night. Because I am born again, I am saved.

I have read what other people say and quote, but I am mostly self-taught. I have grown up in church as a Christian been to Bible School and converted to Judaism while remaining a Christian.

Since you say that you have read the Bible I am curious and want to know if this means you understood what you read. Do you know God and Jesus Christ His Son? Are you born again? Are you saved?

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Do you have faith in God and faith in Jesus?

Ephesians 2:8-9 NASB - 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

I don't play the 'Bible quote game' with people, as I am not a Bible worshipper. I consider Bible worship idolatry.

I am a non-religious Christian and philosophical taoist. I have faith in the ideal and promise of 'Christ', and I have been healed and saved from myself by God's love, forgiveness, kindness and generosity acting in me, and through me to others. And through others, to me.

I like the fact that you refer to yourself as a Christian who also converted to Judaism. I find this refreshingly honest. I have long been puzzled by why so many present day Christians think they have to believe and behave like ancient Jews, just because Jesus was a Jew. Because as we all know, Jews are not evangelical. They do not seek to convert others, and they do not believe anyone has to become a Jew to find and follow God. Jesus spoke as a Jew talking to other Jews, because that was generally who he was talking to at the time. But he never stated nor implied that anyone who is not a Jew, must become one. Or that non-Jews should believe and behave as if they were Jews.

Bottom line, the vast majority of todays Christians are not Jews, and are not therefor beholding to Judaic religious texts, ideology, laws, practices, or traditions. So why they keep insisting that they must, is puzzling to me.

That you have deliberately chosen to do so is a perfectly honest and reasonable choice, however. It's not necessary to being Christian, but it's an honest option for those who want it.
