When Did the Disciples of Jesus Stop Observing the Old Testament Laws?

that's it...only that...

stop doing that...just stop...I already showed you that Paul writes they did not know Yah...why would they return to those OT days (you probably claim in error elsewhere that those days were for only one tribe anyway...why would the Galatians have kept them)

sorry NO...these special days are not worthless when it comes to salvation as they point to the One who saves...and that was true even in the OT...

What's more those observing His special days meant knew they were already saved, not trying to get saved...they were saved in the belief of One to come...the days merely pointed to Him...and still do

Got it? When it comes to saving they don't save but still lead to the One Who does save...they are not worthless...

you keep repeating...trying to convince yourself?

special pagan days. Yah's special days point to His Son...not so elemental...or worthless...

it's pretty clear in verse 8 and elsewhere they knew not God, and did service unto them which by nature are no gods...

nope...see above

addressed elsewhere but not in these texts

Yes you are correct...they were not talking the Galatians into observing pagan holidays

They were actually doing what you do by ascribing to His holidays salvific power when all the while they were merely symbolic of One to come. He saved and once saved by faith observing the holidays meant your faith in Him compelled you to obedience out of gratitude for being saved.

But you seem to think their saving power is now worthless...they never had it except to point to the One Who saved and who needed saving...that is worth a lot...

LOL you reject His days that point to His Son and claim them worthless and now idolatry is not harmful? Man's tradition is not hurtful...? Yah is a jealous God and has a well documented record regarding idolatry and other compromises...

In fact it's required we do NOT celebrate it or any other man made constructs like Purim...

Idolatry not harmful and His days worthless...you are indeed teaching another gospel...

We no longer need teaching tools because we have the Teacher.

We no longer have shadows because there is no shadow in the Light.

Observing special days are no longer commanded.

Observing special days is worthless when it comes to salvation.

I have been giving scriptures.

Badly twisted and distorted to try and squeeze what you wish it to say...

Not even He is at rest now..but going through the books and advocating for mankind...until

at the end it will be "Here are they that KEEP the commandments and the testimony of Yahushua...

Please Notice there are two qualifiers there...those that keep the commandments and have the testimony

We no longer need teaching tools because we have the Teacher.
as if the Teacher reverses the teaching or destroys it or teaches another gospel...

We no longer have shadows because there is no shadow in the Light.
tell that to Paul...He said they are shadows not were...

Observing special days are no longer commanded.
so He lied when He said forever...

Observing special days is worthless when it comes to salvation.
even Paul would not have known sin or his need of salvation without the Law pointing it out to him...special days point to that need of salvation and to Him who saves us...

You speak nonsense about me, and about the word of God.

I can prove easily that you go against God's Word.

You are falsely judging me about the Sabbath day. What does the Word of God say about that?

Colossians 2:16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.

Give the scriptures that say what you claim Paul says.

Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. Romans 3:31

You notice we establish it...as in everywhere we go whoever we meet...we establish His Law...

That is the gospel commission...Yahushua sent us to work not rest...all nations are to worship from Sabbath to Sabbath...and in the end they will...said both Isaiah and John the revelator...

So we have a lot of work to do...the harvest is waiting...thankfully we know

there remains for the people of Yah a Sabbath keeping...see Heb.4:9

NOT the purification/ceremonial works.

As you can see, Paul does not say anything that you claim.

These are the works that NO ONE has to do anymore:

The Burnt Offering; The Grain Offering; The Fellowship Offering; The Sin Offering; The Guilt Offering; Dietary Laws; Purification After Childbirth; Cleansing From Infectious Skin Diseases; Cleansing From Mildew; Discharges Causing Uncleanness; The Day of Atonement; Rules for Priests; The Sabbath; Firstfruits; The Passover and Unleavened Bread; Feast of Weeks; Feast of Trumpets; Feast of Tabernacles; Oil and Bread Set Before The LORD; the Sabbath Year; The Year of Jubilee; Circumcision.

He does not specify so it is out of this silence you argue...

As you can see, Paul does not say anything that you claim.

Not only does he claim to not do anything against the Temple Law he also claims to keep the laws of their fathers. Not only does he perform a temple vow ceremony to prove he is innocent of false charges he was teaching a change to the Laws...but he vowed he was not...

we also see him desire to be in Jerusalem to celebrate the festivals

And bring collected first fruit offering from Gentiles who gave as they crowded synagogues on the Sabbaths he preached to week after week...

And he instructed that we celebrate the unleavened festival with the new unleavened of truth...

Paul wanted to be in Jerusalem because a vow had to be completed in the Temple. There is no record that he made it by Pentecost or that he observed Pentecost. Paul taught observance of the weekly Sabbath and the observance of the seven day feast of Passover.

Paul did not break the temple laws which were still in force by Christ haters.

Paul did not preach the observance of the Sabbath day, or any special days.

Faith without works is dead. The work of observing the Sabbath day is dead, for God no longer commands it because Jesus fulfilled. Jesus came and is our Sabbath Rest.

John 15:10
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Paul tells us that no one is made righteous by the works of the law. The works of the law to make one righteous before God is circumcision, the dietary laws, the observance of special days, various external washings, and the sacrifice of animals. Those are the works that no longer make anyone righteous anymore.

Not only does he claim to not do anything against the Temple Law he also claims to keep the laws of their fathers. Not only does he perform a temple vow ceremony to prove he is innocent of false charges he was teaching a change to the Laws...but he vowed he was not...

Again, while the earthly temple was still standing and the temple laws enforced by those who rejected Christ, Paul did not break their laws.

we also see him desire to be in Jerusalem to celebrate the festivals

Paul was compelled to go to Jerusalem. He was ready to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus had given him. He was ready to die in Jerusalem.

And bring collected first fruit offering from Gentiles who gave as they crowded synagogues on the Sabbaths he preached to week after week...

And he instructed that we celebrate the unleavened festival with the new unleavened of truth...

Prove with scripture that Paul instructed us to do that.

So now he celebrated some and not the others...that would violate temple law...wanting to be somewhere to celebrate something doesn't mean you will make it...but the party goes on...

That Pentecost the Holy Spirit descended as tongues of flames...remember that?

Well they were all gathered for Pentecost as there was no instruction other wise not to be...

And at that time it would have been a good time for the announcement " Well, brothers, we had a good run of it but this Pentecost is the last one...no more festival thingys...no worries though in about 2 centuries we will start inventing Saint dayz, Mardi Gras, and assumption dayz and what not...details to follow...so hang on to your party hats for a bit"

Those who rejected Jesus enforced the old law. The apostles did not break the laws of the temple.

Lol...the irony...you would have made a great Pharisee joodiazer...teaching these works ever made anyone righteous...

These works NEVER made anyone righteous...they were signs and symbols of obedience...

Most of the sacrifices were for sins made out of IGNORANCE...or omission

Think about that...

None are made righteous no NOT one...

There is only One Who makes us righteous and these works are to point us to Him and help make us aware of sin clean and unclean and our need of salvation...Him or need of Him...

Again, while the earthly temple was still standing and the temple laws enforced by those who rejected Christ, Paul did not break their laws.
because he wanted to not because he had too...and even after the temple was destroyed there were still some faithful...

Paul was compelled to go to Jerusalem. He was ready to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus had given him. He was ready to die in Jerusalem.

He was ready to die obedient. He could have made changes...compromises...arguing things were different...no need for all these worthless works...but he didn't...

Prove with scripture that Paul instructed us to do that.

Easy.

1 Cor 5:7 "Get rid of the old yeast, that you may be a new unleavened batch, as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. 8Therefore let us keep the festival, not with the old bread, leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and of truth."

Done.

Mosaic law required males that were able to attend Passover, Pentecost, Tabernacles. Peter gave the first NT sermon for the church.

YHVH's festivals were for Jacob's Israel. The Passover observance was changed by Jesus so as not to require circumcision of the flesh. Now circumcision of the heart was required and fleshly circumcision means nothing.

Because the weekly Sabbath was created for mankind it is retained in the NT. Because Passover is a memorial of Jesus' death it is retained.

There is no example of NT believers observing the other holy days because in Christ ethnicity is dissolved. The church is egalitarian. The wall separating Jews and Gentiles no longer exists. What's good for one is good for all.

They have quite a list of obligations...

Luther fought so hard against these Catholic inc. works he had troubles with the book of James exorting us to do the works of Yah...

Paul was quite clear and graphic with his "gentiles are the branches grafted into a trunk and root"

In no way do these branches change the trunk or root...all that remains status quo...we bare similar fruit or we don't survive...

The wall separating us merely means we are given access to what is there...we don't change it...

Entrance to the club of Israel means we respect its house rules laid out by the One Who gives the Promise to all who obey them there house rules...

Jesus taught new commandments for the new covenant. Jesus died and fulfilled the purification/ceremonial works of the law.
